No idea. I'm trying to find out, but haven't heard back yet. They've had them for about a week and a half now, and I was told turnaround lately has been around 2-3 weeks. I'd love to have them back this week, but I'm not sure it will happen.
Good thing is once they're back, the engine should be ready to set in the truck and I can start on all the tedious stuff like wiring and hose routing. I'm finally starting to see the light at the end.
I assume you pretty much have everything else. Couldn't you just drop that puppy in there and install the sticks when you get them? Something I don't know?
The injectors were sent to F1 Diesel to have them made into Flux 2's, which is basically a 100 HP injector. That's 100 HP over stock, with no programming. Programming will make it much higher than that. It's the same injector that Kai made 600 HP fuel only run on with a single turbo.
Technically, I could go ahead and put the engine in the truck and install the injectors when they get here, but it's much, much easier to install them with the engine on the stand. The inectors need to be torqued down, the connector tubes require a specific torque as well. The #6 injector would be the most difficult, especially with the angle of the connector tube. Also, the engine hoist mount has to be removed to gain access to the injector. So, while I could put the engine in and install the injectors, I think it would take a lot longer to get the injectors back in place. It's just something I feel more comfortable doing with it on the stand, especially since it's the first time I've done it.
It's not much, but it needed to be done. The transmission crossmember has to have the mounting holes for the trans slotted/elongated to allow the trans to slide back just a bit, somewhere around 1/2" +/- a bit. The long slots are what I did tonight, and painted the bare metal spots.
I also took out the old downpipe, since it definately won't work with the Cummins. I think what I'll have to do is get a downpipe for a Dodge truck and it should fit right up. May take a bit of flex pipe to connect the two, but it shouldn't be a problem.
I figured I can go ahead and start on the PCS controller right now. I'm sure it will need some signals from the engine, but I can go ahead and start getting the wiring harness run and finding a place to mount the controller. So, I got out the wiring harness for it...holy crap, that's a lot of wires. I put it back in the box for the night. I'll probably pull it out tomorrow night and lay the whole thing out on the garage floor to try and figure out what's what.
Injectors still aren't back as of yet. I'm hoping they'll show up next week and I can get the engine set in the truck next weekend. I'm also starting to think about how to run the fuel lines and mount the regulator to keep everything clean. I think it will take some new fittings from Jegs, but should be very doable.
I also need to get some Simple Green and rent a hot water power washer to clean out the engine bay and underneath side of the truck. When that rod punched a hole in the block with me doing 70 MPH down the highway, everything in the engine bay and back is covered in a film of oil.

Jeremy, I thought this would have been done by now. 70 MPH eh? LOL. All I can be sure of was dude with the TP hanging out of his pant legs at the rest stop before disaster struck.

Dude with the TP. Forgot all about that. What a riot.
I was hoping it would have been done by now. Maybe I was going closer to 75...I didn't want to go too fast...I think there was a cop following me.
Sorry for the dumbazz question, but cant you order a cummins in a 450? and if so, couldnt you get the up pipe from ford? or even a exhaust shop??
Like stated above, the only Cummins that comes in a Ford is a completely different truck. Most of my exhaust shops around here don't deal with 4" exhaust, so rather than me spend time and gas money trying to find one that will work, I'm just going to order an aftermarket Dodge downpipe. I think I can get just the downpipe for ~$50, so it's worth it to me to save the hassle and use something that I know will work...oh, I probably forgot, that someone who's already done a conversion like this is the one who confirmed I needed a Dodge downpipe.

I am keeping my BTS and controlling it with a PCS. I've got the adapter plate and flexplate from Destroked that allows it to bolt right up. Here's a pic of the adapter and flex plate:
Keep it coming Jeremy. Like others on here, I log to just see what new with the truck. Do you have the PCS programmed yet? What HP are you shooting for?
