Very nice looking 77. Love the colour and the rims. The fact that it has a stroker under the hood makes it even more awesome.
I guess Grant and i will have to entertain you guys with our builds, but mines coming to a close again once summer is over. Back to school, one more year.
Oh nice. That makes it even better . I think the older the truck gets, the better it looks when it's done up all nice like yours.

Thanks! It's rusty... not very trusty... and kind of looks like it's the gay pride truck... but oh well. It's mine and I love working on it.
I'll see what I can do about starting my own build thread. I've got 3 summers worth of pics and material to write up, so it might take me a while to get everything posted :P
Beautifull truck, I've allways liked those body styles, next to Ford naturally. My brother has had alot of those and still has a chopped 68 in my mothers garage.
Very cool build!
I can see the reason for retaining the straight axle, I wish I had with my 53 M100 as it keeps the build some much simpler and within my abilities. .
Doesnt get much simpler then a Jag IFS, IF a guy wants IFS.

I agree, but there are many advantages to having an IFS and IRS installed, ya simply cant beat that for ride quality. That said there is nothing wrong with a stock suspension setup too.
Was just curious Grant how/what you were all upgrading from stock. Love the project!
Gerry, I dont know if its a sin of this site or not to post that 72 gmc, but what a gorgeous truck! My wife really likes those style of trucks, and I regret selling the 70 that I had before I met her, as I woulda fixed it up for her.
Man I love old vehicles, sure have come to realize im only really faithful to ford when it comes to my newish daily driver haha.

I installed reverse eye front springs, replaced all the pin's and bushing's. replaced the king pin's and tie rods, installed disc brakes and a powerbrake booster / master cyl assy. I bought a new pedal assy and installed the toyota p/s. I should be very satisfied with the ride and handling. In the rear I will be installing the donor car's diff 8.8 with drum brakes and rear leaf's and hanger's out of a late model Ranger. This will be a budget build for Jordan my 14yr old to drive when he gets his license. My total cost to rebuilt the frt end / rear end and brakes will be around $1000.00. I am a licensed Auto tech by trade and cut my teeth on these types of suspension's. This build gives Jordan a chance to see actually how simple these trucks were in the day. You'd bet your bottom dollar if I had cubic dollars I'd be using a ifs / irs.
