You have snow Sherm......Wow, hope we don`t get that here! We`re at 8 °C right now, 30 percent chance of flurries Wednesday and after that it`s mostly sunny with a mix of sun and cloud for the rest of this week.
A big hi back to you Marty!
No worries Jack, not even the weather office is too accurate.....

yep... snowed all day, but not much more accumulation. definately about 4 inches or so though, enough to make a mess and screw with my truck... thats another story.

driving to the jobsite this morning, there was lots of slush on the road and it must have iced up the shifter linkage on the tranny. i couldn't shift to reverse or part. took it to the dealer and of course it was fine when i pulled into the parking lot. they checked it over and said nothing was amiss, but they've heard of the ice problem before. perhaps a simple design flaw??

I`d sure like to see some bigger plus temps soon too.
Congratulations on the 4th wedding anniversary and many more to go Jack & Erin and also hope you both have happy birthdays too!
Keep that snow there Sherm, we sure don`t want it now.
Sounds like that shifter needs a cover to keep the snow and ice out, is there any way of doing this?

i don't know if there's a way of enclosing it or not. to be honest, i'm not entirely convinced that it was an ice problem as there's been ice, slush and stuff on it all winter and i'd venture to say as much as today. if it never happens again i'll be happy, but if it persists it'll be fixed under warranty, and once the title is mine and not a lease, i may try to design a cover if it can be done.

sounds like you have some festive days ahead Jack. early happy birthday to you and your wife, and a happy anniversary to you both!!! its been almost 4 years for me and my wife also... 4 years in october!!!

Sherm, thats a very odd problem. Somehow I dont think it was related to the slush, but who knows. Maybe a little rock got in there or something?

Yeah, taking a dealerships word is sometimes hard. The dealerships around here are ok, but no matter what, they still have a tendency to sluff small problems off from time to time.

Im sure its nothing major though.

yeah i know what you mean. i like Royal though, they've always been good to me. thing is, i know the owner real well and i'm doing a house for him this fall, so if worse came to worse, i could have a chat with him and it should get some results...
