-27°C, -40°C with the wind chill and dropping down to -42°C tomorrow night.
It`s a long, brutal winter, come on spring already.
I really worry about the wild life too.
Ya just drag that chit home and eat it Morris. It's good. and with the temps
you all got its not going to spoil. Take your sled out and thin the heard M8.
I'll take some.
Believe it not, I have 10 dozen perogies, and a bunch of other stuff on the frt seat of my motor home keepin frozen. Just gotta make the best of it. Remember the glass is half full.
I wish we got +37" of snow last night instead of -37 degrees this morning... -51 with windchill. The rabbits are running all over the front yard, driving the dogs crazy Its entertaining. Rabbits don't seem affected by the cold. Surprising as those little critters don't have much for fat on them. They cannot be considered a survival food because of that.
Coons on the other hand... I believe we have a family of them living under one of the old sheds here... Unsure of what to do with them yet. I'm not big on killing stuff unless I'm going to eat it. Maybe we all need some fur hats?
Happy Saturday, here's to a short and hot March!!!
It's the rabbits mating season. they're running around to warm up so the don't freeze together Or maybe it's just foreplay. Have a great weekend guy's.
More reason to buy a snowmobile if you don't have one, and if you do have one its more reason to ride it

I agree with you Sherwin on not killing animals unless your going to eat them I'd also like more snow too . The snow I welcome all year long but not the cold, if it could be +20 outside and we could have three feet of snow that would be a perfect world in my books lol. We have actually gotten snow in every month of the year, in 2011 we got about 6" of snow in July.

So many dirty jokes to be made!! HAHAHA!. Curtis, you should really rethink what you said lol.
Too funny.
I gotta admit, didn't get the fire going for a couple days and it was still 0 in there. I'm gonna say reno's def make a big difference in savings at the end of the day!! She warms up quick and holds the heat pretty good now. Gonna fire her up shortly here today, Nascar practice and SUPERCROSS on Speed tonight
Thats what I'm afraid of lol... We've seen 4 at once a couple times, which means there will be many, many more come spring. It doesn't bother me at the moment, but we plan to put a nice garden in, and I want to plant some fruit trees. I'll be making some solid fencing in efforts to keep them out... I used to snare rabbits when I lived back in NL. It was my favorite past time, spent a lot of time in the bush looking for runs in the summer and fall, marking them and then setting snares when the season came. On the more packed runs where it looked that the traffic was faster, I suspect death was instant. If I came upon a live one in the snare, it was its lucky day. I would let it go.
I love hunting, but I'm not blood thirsty. I've had many an opportunity to kill but watched as an animal walked away without knowing I was there. In my mind, hunting does not always have to consist of killing.

Sherm? Coon aint to bad a eating. Lots of oil in it. Roast it in the oven
with onions and spuds and like that after it cooks the oil down. Oily like Tuna.
It's flavor is a lot like dog but not as stringy.
