We got her from a farm near Quill Lake.
German Shepherds are my favorite breed, likely Babes was part Shepherd too.
There`s lots of snow and muddy gravel roads in that area.
I was gone today getting my new to me German Shepherd pup, Molly. I misssed my Babes so much I had to get another pup to spoil.
Beauty of a Pooch there Morris!!! Looks like it will gladly accept your affection I have a soft spot for the Sheppard/Rottweiler crosses. We have one now, amazing dog other than her allergies, if I had more space I'd have a a couple more of them.
I love all dogs in general, but the medium-larger breeds really snag me. Not much for the "rat on steriods" kind of dogs...
Congratulations on the German Shepherd - you know my passion for the breed!
Diesel will be 7 this fall and his drive/energy level havent changed much from a pup - he is aggressive, not in a mean way but he is alpha and challenges pack status. He has a confident air about him - he wins by intimidation. I am so thankful for the time we spent in obedience training - we both learned lots from that experience. We have had nothing but Shepherds since I was a kid, and he is the best one we have had
Tango will be 6 this fall. She is quite the partner for Diesel. Although 25 pounds lighter, she is quick and agile, with the feminine trait that has been used to describe female dogs... She is the most alpha female we have ever had
As with all intelligent breeds, our dogs are part of the operation here and enjoy some of the routines. We spend lots of time in the shop, and that is their haven. coffee time for us = playtime for them...
When dogs are integrated to feel as being part of their surroundings, thats where the protective instinct surfaces - no locks required here!!!
Thanks everybody, Molly is keeping me really busy as she is so full of energy!
She`s 18 months old and is a small dog for a German shepherd. She`s been an outside dog and when I bring her into our house she does fine with the kitten and our poodle. She`s really eager to please and is a very happy dog, we just have to work on her over excitement which is from being in a new and different environment from what she`s used to.
Unfortunately I`m coming into the busy part of my work schedule with not alot time for obedience training.
So far Molly has begun to bond with us, with alot of patience and love she`ll do fine with her type of personality.
