knocked down a huge wasp nest that was in our eves last summer. did you know that the honey comb sections inside the nest will not burn?? i knocked it down, then was going to burn it with the propane tourch. the 1 1/2" paper exterior burnt quick, but the honeycomb section just glowed and wouldn't ignite. very interesting. i'll have to do some research to see what they compose the core of...
bought a couple of CD's yesterday. the best of aerosmith... great tunes, love steve tyler the other was George Strait's latest album. totally awesome CD. i hope that guy outlives me as i'll never have to hunt for good music...
nice to see that gas dropped 4 cents/liter. hopefully it doesn't take a huge hike for the summer...
one of the builders i do homes for has a young son who has just won a battle with cancer not too long ago... lately he hasn't been feeling well so he's off to regina for more testing. my fingers are crossed, hoping and praying that its nothing serious again. terribly stressful for the family!!!
That`s interesting that the honey comb sections do not burn, I never knew that. I`d throw the nest into the lit burning barrel and leave.....
Wow, Yorkton gas dropped 4 cents/liter, here it was only about 1 cent to 91.9. What`s your gar price now Sherm?
We hope that the youngster`s cancer is gone, we`ll all keep our fingers are crossed and pray for him.
I gotta admit, I havent bought an actual CD for along time. I can see buying a greatest hits CD, but other then that I usually only listen to one or two songs from an album anyways.
It's cold here again this morning. Now -12 with the windchill and snow flurries have been floating around lots. Now I'm worried about the trees we planted and new growth freezing again this year since its supposed to get down to -10 without the windchill Friday night. Same thing happened last year and it killed a couple of the trees I spent $$ on.
Gas is between 80.9 and 84.9 here in town. It just started to drop here yesterday so only 2 of the stations are down.
today i may have to run up to the hospital, my neighbor had chest pains on monday.
they found a blood clot in his heart. not good! he's supposed to be released today.
we hope!
BTW our gas prices here are 1.75/9 a gallon.
and i'm allergic to bees/wasps.... so i can't do that! i get stung and i'm done.....
i take benadryl daily, and i have a bee sting kit.
Take care Jack, it`s coming around to bee season soon! Hope your neighbour makes out ok.
I haven`t been stung for awhile Sherm but I still remember the last time!
Hi David, you are still taking good care of your neat ride I hope.
We`re in the frigid zone now, it`s right at the freezing point and dropping down tonite. Sharon must have sent us her weather.....
