What do I have to do...Buy an old cheby/dodge and put a Ford engine in it....or maybe get a honder and up grade it with a Briggs and Scrap Iron engine
As long as that engine still runs I ain`t messing with it.

ford built their own diesels for a while! i think they were 6.1 or 6.6 litre. inline 6.
i have worked on a few of them in the past.
as for the briggs and straton engines aren't bad! yeah every once in a while you'll get a lemon but not all the time. i've had a bunch and i have one 5hp one on my murray lawn mower and its been pretty good. it loves the high octane race gas. its hard to start with regular gas, but premium or race gas it starts much easier. 1 pull as opposed to 5. and i think i remember reading the owners manual and it said to put premium gas or higher.
i haven't had any problems with it. and i think its a 2004 model mower. other than changing the oil and the plug and the air filter.
