I hate wind too! Hopefully the day goes by fast today, just have a driveway to build, and a few loads of gravel to deliver, most of it will be in the cab out of the wind, which is nice!
mornin' all,
there wasn't any rain saturday it was 86* and sunday it was 85* and it was hot.
i got alittle sun burnt. but not bad. my legs are sore from walking all over the track.
no morris,
i didn't drive this time. this was NASCAR. it was the camping world series cars and drivers. and the GASS cars, and the historic stock cars of nascar.
it was alot of fun tho. the tickets were cheap. and i only live 30 miles from portland. actually from my house to pir track is 30 miles.
i have been to phoenix, atlanta, talladega, but that was years ago.
portland international raceway is a 2 mile road course. thats my first time ever there. it was hot but we had fun. at one point there was 8 of us but on the 125 race sunday there was 6 of us all together. we went as a group. between my two neighbors it was a good tour. you can go to google earth and get a view of the track. the address is 1940 n. victory blvd. portland, oregon 97217
Funny you say that Morris, I really like the peace and quiet of living where I live too. Sometimes for Sandi's sake, I wish we lived a little slower to the city, but in the end this works out very well.
Ive heard talk they are thinking of paving a road about a half mile from my place in the future, if they did that, I would hope it stays just as quiet!
I meant I`m too far away from the Nascar and vintage truck scene in CA or in other
USA places.
Here there are alot of newly developed acreages in the last 3-4 so of course our traffic volume has gone way up.
It does sounds like a great time. Though I really love living on my farm of course I`m pretty much stuck in the middle of nowhere.
i love the spot where you're at. its the perfect distance from the big city, but the little town of clavet is close enough if you need something stat! sort of like where we are, but ours is a subdivision not acreages. sometimes i wish it was an acreage, but other times i'm glad its not because i simply do not have the time of day to maintain an acreage!!!
