Happy Thursday Mornin'all. Sherm. I don't think there's enough snow to cause a flood, here anyways. It could melt fast and still not be a problem. Curtis. Bummer on the bad luck. Every day I pour a coffee for you. when you don't show up, I just mic it and drink it myself. Have a great day guy's.
Good morning everyone. Grant, I have a question for you, what size tires are on your rims on the 56. I went to Dryden yesterday and for the first time seen one of trucks on the road, a white Peterbuilt with black fenders. I thought all you rigs were blue.
That was Tom, one of our owner/operators. Good hard working driver. Our o/o's truck's are white. we only have 2. The rest are company trucks. Did you wave to him. The tires on the rear are 235/75R-15. I will probably run something just as tall but wider. I gather Francis gave you the measurement's. My tires sit on 2x4's so I just subtracted an inch an a half from the ground measurement.
Yes , she gave me the measurements but couldn't recall the tire size. My axle is above the springs and yours is under but the frame height are about the same. Not sure just how low the front is going to sit yet, I don't want it looking like it's doing a hand stand going down the highway. I was planning on using a taller tire same as you.
The way it is sitting now there would be no need too but if I need to lower it I'll likely have to. I haven't put any weight on it yet to see how much it will settle.
Morning Fellas!! After another brutally cold day yesterday, -6 will be a blessing today, and the remainder of the forecast period will be a gift as well. One day there is +6!!! Hell yeah, keep that chit coming!!!
Curtis, though you have been in the relationship longer than I, may I offer a word of advice... Don't push the reno and get everything done at once. Leave some things so the Lady always gets another surprise
Colin, I like lifted trucks, they look awesome, but for anyone who uses a truck bed, they're the most impractical. I have to think twice before lifting a truck now that I had and sold one. Exhaust would be a nice touch. Powerstroke sounds groovy with 4" cool duals Could you share a ballpark on what the bodywork cost you? I would like to get one box side repaired where it has a crease about a foot long.
Seeing all the hardware and farm supply stores stocking up on pumps, hose, and generators makes me a little nervous. Do they have a premonition on what is to come or are they trying reverse psychology on the weather maker? I sure hope we don't wind up with the flooding like last year. While it created lots of work for us contractors, it also caused my neighbor to take his own life.
Have a great day there boys!! Spring is coming for sure!!!
My wife had a couple of dents fixed this summer and it was about $500.00. It was a little over $2000.00 for the work I had done on my truck.

Morning everyone. Just finished my evening shifts and now I start nights at 7pm today. While I was yawning the other day, I think I put my jaw outta place because it cracked good and hurt, then I yawned again a little while later and it cracked hard again. Now it hurts to eat. Hopefully it'll stop hurting soon lol. Also, my girlfriend and I almost have her engagement ring completely designed. The CAD designer needs to make a few more tweaks and its ready to be made.
Sherwin, that is a nice looking truck you got. Is that the 5.4 or the 4.6? Any plans on lifting it? I love the way lifted trucks look too and I want to lift mine but I use the bed of my truck a lot and its tall enough stock. So I think I've decided just to level the front. What year was the Dodge Cummins you had?
Coilin, your truck looks much better with the colour matched cap
Curtis, that's a nice present for your wifey Too bad about all your bad luck though.
Hopefully everyone is gearing up for a good weekend
Morning Fellas. Randy gets the worm today Custom ring...hold up there hollywood!!!! Just kidding bud, whatever gets you the attention you deserve
My Cummins was an '06, 5.9L. The good one. Yesterday am I was wishing I still had it when the F150 wouldn't start. It was -30, but I had it plugged in all night, and the block heater works. I tried boosting it from the Ex but still got nothing. My wife tried starting it around 4pm and it started fine. I started it again when I got home and it was fine, took it to the gym and had no issues. I suspect it may be the starter solenoid or something on the fritz. If I remember correctly my '96 did the same thing for a bit before I had to replace the starter. I'm on the fence about lifting it. I really don't want to sink too much $$ into it, so maybe a torsion bar leveling system with a 2" block in the rear or something is the most I will do. I also hate the impracticability of a lifted truck while loving the looks. Truck has the 5.4L.
Damage to your F150 Mo?? Say it isn't so!!!
Ice Age...hahaha. Well, the squirrel is here in our yard... I wish scientists would just quit on trying to predict the future. Just live each day as it is and as it comes and deal with it. There is so much BS out there for theories, the latest one is that the rise if ISIS is meant to bring on Armageddon... Well...that probably holds as much probability as do global warming or an impending ice age. Actually probably a higher possibility of becoming the truth.
Good morning, from the sounds of the forecast have your rain coats and snow shovels handy.
No worries Sherm, it`s a small scrape just on the edge of the rear fender flair, still smarts tho. A couple of parking lot dings as an extra bonus.
There were a couple of dents on the pass side from the previous owner that were starting to rust, I had him do the painted part of the bumper as it was badly chipped and there were a few scratchs that needed to be buffed out. Also had the Cap and Fender Flares done.
