No power sucks John, good thing for old school at times like that
Can't beat the wood stove for usefulness at all times!!!
It was a chilly day here today, that wind had quite an edge to it.
Have a great evening guys!!
Playin out in the cave all day today.
Buddy crashed my old Phazer, all day but she's fixed for him....AGAIN

Got some Studboys in for the new Phazer, Customer and now good friend brought me some weights to play with my Clutching. On the limiter too much with the new Hindle Pipe on it

Now.....What to start with
First time ever clutching.Curtis, I took a job with a local developer who is aggressively growing his business. I've known him for a few years, he's a good guy. I'm supervising a crew of decent chaps. It took a lot of headaches away from me in regard to being self employed. Now I have set hours, no weekend work, little to no job stress, little to no expenses, a company vehicle coming shortly, and an income that is pretty near what my self employment income was once I subtracted wages and other expenses that I don't have now. The only down side is the days where I wake up and don't feel like working, I still have to go.
Snow is cleared...off to the gym while momma makes a grub run.... Have a good one everyone!!!
What's this guy up too. Experiment

What is it we have to try?? I'll bet its "Not whine about the weather"......

Ribbin ya.
Have a great evening folks!!
I upgraded to the 2004 housings they went in with no modifications.
Got them off Kijiji for $ 80.00 bought another HID kit $130.00 New from local guy.
So for less than my deductible it's fixed and I didn't have to talk to the SGI dictators.
I used the Red Green method for added security so they can't fall out or get loose
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
John, sounds like you have it made. No close neighbors to complain about your genny. Unless you have one of them fancy/dancy quiet ones...
Mine sounds like a cummins on steroids. My father in law has a Kipor branded one, I think its an offshore/cheaper genny but it is very quiet. Hope your inconveniences don't last too long!!Curtis, I put 2700 kms on my sled the first year I had it. Epic snow that year, and early to. Since then all my miles have been in the mountains + one or two rides around SK. I guess my life changes, family, acreage life, etc. has made time less available for sledding. I'm not complaining

Paul, I read an article a while back that LEO are going to start cracking down on use of HID and non OEM lighting because of their brightness. While I love bright lights for driving, it sure sucks meeting vehicles with those HID's. I'm thinking of putting a big LED bar on my next truck for country driving... Lots of moose in these parts now, they don't quite show like Deer in the headlights.
Have a great day guys, its another chilly one!!
Beautifull crispy morning!!
Sure miss drivin the eX, had to bring my daughter to school today for a trip. Went out and she fired right up. Probably been a week since i've had her out for a little ride.
Sherm, I can totally respect your train of thought!! Being in my mid 40's I wondered why I bought another aggressive sled that you have no choice but to ride hard, she's chilly but at the end of the day I still love to pound huge drifts, aggressive trail and pull the kidlets around on a toboggan. Something about being the underdog CC wise and putting the big dogs in my dust out in the drifted ditches and trails. They usually make me pay after she tops out at a buck 120ish. Blue runs through my viens, FORD and Yamaha!! One day i'm sure I'll retire to a nice kushy one. When maybe Cam's old enough to take the reins of the Phazer. I know him and I are going to enjoy riding together. Girls....well not so much winter activities lol.
Grant, thanks!! I was about to order Aaen's clutch book. I hear its the shizzle, bible if you will of clutching. But Royal Dist didn't have Yami weights so I didn't order. But will one day.
John, hope power comes back on soon for you guys!! Sounds like it don't matter either way for you tho

Paso1, i'd have to agree with Sherm on the brightness part. Have a few out our way and crossing paths is blinding. Have you ever considered projectors for your HID's? Your current headlight assembly can be baked open, modified and baked closed again safely. They not only concentrate the light to where you actually need it, it doesn't blind on comming traffic. The other day, I passed 2 sleds with HID's installed. Super BLue, which is absolutly garbage for wet or snowy conditions that blinded me so bad I actually had to stop and cover my eyes. This, mind you, all on a trail that's 10' wide not leaving me much room for error once they came around a corner and you have to make a panic stop. One had up like WTHeck.
Not bashing your set up at all, just sharing why there not so good for the peeps that don't have them. And probably why MPIC here in MB and your enforcers there are cracking down on them. There absolutely the best light you can get. There just not tuned in a stock bezle to project the light at its optimal. IMHO. Here, you can have that all all completed for around 450 into your stock lights. AGain, absolutely not bashin you in anyway, whatsoever. We have the same headlight bezles, They don't throw good light at the best of times.
I think I'm gonna jump back outside to the cave and do a couple test runs. See if what I did yesterday helped at all.........
