The smoke is the same here also Morris, and now it is drissling out. It feels like someone is sitting on your chest. The smoke playing havoc with my son as he has asthma.
Morning boys. Thanks for all the well wishes. He had his surgery yesterday, 6.5 hrs under the knife. For some reason the surgeon left for the day without talking to any of the family so no one is sure how it went or what they even did.
The smoke was as bad as it needs to get here. We definitely aren't as bad as Saskatoon or other places north, but our visibility was less than 1/2 mile.
I made the mirror using pots from a Pontiac Grand Am and formed the arms myself Morris, same as what I did on the panel except these ones aren't electric.
Morning boys. Thanks again for the well wishes for my Dad. Some good news, or promising news from the surgeon yesterday. She took it upon herself to do a good cleaning while they had him opened up. Not only did they fix the issue that was currently causing him problems, but they also removed all other tissue that was looking to be affected by the chrons disease. She felt very confident that he would be able to begin coming off all meds once the procedure was healed, and the only remaining chrons side effect would be the colostomy bag on his side. This is pretty awesome news as he's been on a boatload of drugs for quite a few years. Many of them were conflicting with each other so in a week, he might have 2 days of feeling semi normal. Our fingers are crossed. At 56 years old, it would be nice to see him catch a break and have a good "healthy" remainder of his life!!
Finally got our '15 work trucks yesterday. I'll get some pics next week when I return from the east. Those Ecoboost engines are awesome. The rest of the truck isn't much different than anything else.
Nice fabbing work on that mirror John. Good to see someone being creative rather than using another mass produced item
Are you serious John, it looks a little bulky but I'll reserve judgement till they're done
Does this picture give you a better idea Gerry? After I had them done I wished they were a little more slender but will probably live with it unless I can find another set to play with.
Good to hear your dad has a chance of getting back to what was normal Sherm, 56 is far too young to be having so many problems. Have fun with the company truck.
Good morning folks and Happy Canada Day, 148 years old today!
That is great news about your dad Sherm, good health is something that we all take for granted. Say hi to him for me when you are there next week.
Once the mirrors are painted they'll blend right in.
These fires are almost 200 miles away from us Gerry but the smoke is still thick today and it sounds like it`ll be here for a while yet.
I haven't found any mirrors that I like for my 53 yet John, likely I`ll go with the small round chrome ones from a mid 60`s Ford truck.
It`s deck scraping and painting day here, not something I'm really looking forward to so wish me luck!
