Grant is your 56 project parked for the winter or will you work on it all winter
The 56 is parked, but I have the engine & trans at work. I've been cleaning and detailing it. I pressure washed it, but didn't get everthing, so it's in all the nooks & crannies with a small wire brush & brake clean. I'm in no big hurry. I do 3-4 hrs a week on it at work, and clean small parts at home. !/2 that time is cleaning up my mess. Thanks for asking.
I'm using a 5.0L/AOD out of an 88 Town Car. It had under 100,000km. When I replaced the valve cover gasket's, the insides were clean as a whistle. It's nowhere near the HP of a Mustang motor, But with headers and an updated air intake, it'll be a little better. I'm expecting (hopefully) to get in the 25mpg range with it. I'm also waiting for a P/S, and alt bracket kit to relocate the alt to the pass side. I've deleted the A/C and air pump. One of the member's here trims the EFI harness. I'll send that out in the spring.
Fully agree on these new drivers being awful due to lack of cold harsh weather experience. Does not matter if they drive a car or a big rig, they are awful in both. The big rig is just a large weapon for them to cause more damage.
I grew up in the Kootenays and learnt to drive with all that snow and huge mountains. Received all my plow experience in GTA with that heavy wet snow, plenty of salt and tons more immigrant lousy drivers. These Peg roads and streets seem easy.
Morning everyone. A little dip into the freezer this am before expected highs of above 0 for the rest of the week!! Hope to get the roof finished on the addition while the temps are this nice.
Got a yard light put up yesterday, makes it nice and bright for going out in the evening with the pooches and such. Got some more lights put in my little garage also. One thing I hate is a place poorly lit and you can't do squat.
VERY FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS --- After digging to a depth of 10 feet last year outside Buffalo, New York, scientists found traces of copper cable dating back 100 years. They came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago. Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, a Los Angeles, California archaeologist
dug to a depth of 20 feet somewhere just outside Oceanside. Shortly afterward, a story in the LA Times read, "California archaeologists, reporting a finding of 200 year old copper cable, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers." One week later, a local newspaper in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan reported, "After digging 30 feet deep in his pasture near the community of Kindersley, Saskatchewan , Ole Olson, a heck of an engineer and a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Ole has therefore concluded that 300 years ago, Saskatchewan had already gone wireless."Just makes a person proud to be from Saskatchewan ...
