Snow missed Peg but the freezing rain was better for me. A pure profit night of laying 1200kg salt mixed with ice melt on my parking lots. 5hrs of work with a profit of over $1500. Wish I had more "Toronto" nights like last.

Do you do all your own plowing TJ or do you keep your summer employees employed?

We've got 6" or so down after today. I just went for a walk around the perimeter of our yard and was quite surprised at how much we have.

Put it this way, I plow with running shoes. I dont get out of truck to clear walkways. That is left for my employees. Have done one clearing run alone this season as a leaf blower was only used.
The reason my client list is large for clearing is to keep employees during the winter.

Evening everyone. It was freaking cold out today. -30C with a -46C wind. Supposed to be cold again tomorrow.

Went to the store with my girlfriend after work quickly to grab a few things we needed. Came home and looked though my front window to find our 103 pound dog sleeping on our table... Didn't chew on anything, just knocked some stuff off... What a ***** lol...

You could have kept that cold to yourself Randy... I know sharing is usually caring, but in this case its the total opposite

When we lived in town, in our first house, we used to put our dogs in the basement laundry room when we would leave the house. We made sure they couldn't get at any of the detergents or cleaners, and put beds and water down there for them. They literally demolished that room to the point that one day they met us at the front door when we returned home. Nothing in the house had been touched, no telling how long they had been loose. Since that we would just give them a treat and a verbal "behave", and never was there an issue with leaving them to roam the house while we were away. My lab still enjoys that freedom, unfortunately the Rottie has since passed away. Our boxer was crate trained when we got her and she's ok with that so we continue to put her in her crate when we leave. Actually, she goes there when she sees us all getting ready to leave together. Randy, there's a good chance that you could leave your pup out and unattended with nothing happening. There's also a good chance that at 103lbs, he could limb your home

I agree Morris, its too cold too early.

I seen an article where RCMP are going to be entertaining a "bait sled" program in Revelstoke and Sicamous BC this winter. This is a great idea as there are quite a number of sleds stolen from that area every year. There was a trailer full of sleds stolen from this area earlier in the fall. I don't think it was ever recovered.

It never hurts to have insurance and locks fellas.

Keep warm.

It looks like your having a great holiday, be safe Gerry!
Like it or not we`re stuck with this cold and it looks like another bad winter Sherm.
I`m sorry to hear about your Rottie passing away, I know all to well what that`s like.
I agree about giving pup a chance unattended in time, our`s have always come thru wonderfully once they are comfortable and used to their new home.
Happy Hump Day to you too Grant. No wind and the sun is shining so not a bad day.

Got the call to haul my Lentils in tomorrow, luckily I left the tandem plugged in when I left the farm on Saturday. It seems no one ever wants my grain when it is nice out.
