Good afternoon everyone. Been a long weekend here, watching my sister and her boy friends dog's... Three dogs is two dog too many...
Sherwin, what are you doing to the Cobra??
I've had two dogs for a long time now, they're great company for themselves. I'd struggle to not have 2 or more at all times. I'm actually hoping to get another one or two before the summer is out. We have the space...
I'm putting a smaller pulley on my supercharger, and a "through the fender" cold air intake. Should put me near 450hp at the rear wheels.

Lock your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car for an hour and see who is happy to see you when you return... This is why I need dogs... They're always happy to see me.
you know, in my short 29 years on this planet, I've found that every work week starts off like this...a Monday...
Yes but it`s summer so it`s all good!

I`ve always had two dogs at a time too, one is usually a smaller house pup and the other is a real dog.
Nice day here too and mowed the lawn for the first time this year. I've got one big brown patch that hasn't greened up yet and may have to reseed it I guess.

Give it some time John, it depends on the type of grass and why it went dead but usually mine come back.
I guess having two or three dogs of your own would be a little different than just babysitting two additional dogs due to the fact that you would be able to train them how you want. My sister's dogs aren't trained the best though so that does make it a little more difficult.
Speaking of bad behaviour, I have an update about my neighbours. My neighbour ended up going to rehab, so she got to keep her job and house. Her and her boyfriend have been quiet for past few months since she got back from rehab, then they were gone for like a month or so (don't know how long they have been gone, that's how quiet they were). We saw her get dropped off last night, she has no vehicle anymore. Now today while I was at work my girlfriend let our dog outside only to realize that our neighbour has a dog now too. We'll good thing we have a fence because her dog was getting quite aggressive through the fence trying to get at our dog. It almost climbed through a hole in the fence, our fence is old and starting to falling apart. I'm hoping that she was only babysitting this dog and its not hers permanently. Last summer she had a puppy for a month or so till it got out of her back yard and got picked up by the pound. It use to climb through a hold in the fence into our yard and play with the old dog we had (he is now back at my inlaws because he's to old to travel). We usually ended up feeding him because we never saw her leave food out for that puppy either. So she started tying him up to stop him from coming into our yard and she never went to play with it or nothing. It just stayed tied up all day and all night... We were so glad to hear that it got away and she never got it back. Sorry for the long rant but this is why I'm hoping that this new dog isn't hers and that its not gonna be there long... Its a shame when people don't take care of their animals...

I don't let it worry me too much anymore Morris, I used to pride myself on my lawn as it was one of the nicest in town and always got complimented on it, but fighting the weeds is starting to become a real chore as everyone around me only maintain weed beds. Ontario banned herbicides about 4 years ago which is making it harder so the weeds are slowly winning and is the only green left in the brown patches
Sorry to hear about your dog troubles. Shoot the dog.
The owner is usually 99.9% of the problem, I always side with the dog. They are dogs, living in the moment, their personality so often left up to how they are treated by their immediate humans. I've seen aggressive dogs be rehomed and with time and patience they can turn into the sweetest fur-pillow one could imagine. Shooting the dog is not always the right answer...
Happy Tuesday morning folks. I picked up our chicks yesterday. 50 Cornish cross for meat, 20 brown/white leghorns for laying, 10 bantams for novelty. They're pretty cute at this stage. My wife doesn't think I'll have the heart to butcher them when the time comes. I guess we will see I'm a big fan of eating chicken
We've got some dead/slow to grow spots in our front yard also. I'm thinking the previous caretaker cut it too short and it burnt in the summer and froze out in the winter. I'm no specialist though, but I'm thinking a good overseeding and fertilizer will bring everything back to snuff.

Exactly, I`ve always believed that most of the time it`s the owners and not that poor animals that are the problem.

I don`t use a lot of herbicides but I will have to use dandelion spray as my farm yard turns yellow every spring.

I never believe in shooting a dog except in extreme cases........
I still remember mom`s delicious farm raised, home canned chickens.
