I'm grouchy, it`s Monday, rainy and cloudy! One of those days you just wanna crawl back into bed!!
You calibrate Mexican holidays Gerry?
Sounds like you have better weather there than we do.
Its trying to rain here also. I see blue sky trying to make an appearance though, so here's hoping....

We were supposed to have a wet weekend coming up. I was actually looking forward to it as it looks like we will finally be getting rid of the old house in our yard. A guy stopped by yesterday to take a look. He does a lot of Hoe work for the RM, so he's going to take care of it on his way by hopefully later in the week. I'm excited to be rid of it as it houses a few undesirable varmints that I can never seem to catch in there.
The count down is on until Vehicle Inspection on the 150. I'm just not pleased that the new 250 might have to be used for spring clean ups and the interior getting dirty fromm employees when 150 is getting repaired. I write this as I'm sure VI will locate something to repair.
Is that a yearly ordeal or just after a vehicle reaches a certain age? I have mixed feelings about the yearly safety's. They're good for keeping vehicles roadworthy, but I also think there are a lot of garages that take advantage of it and make a pile of extra coin claiming to have issues to fix that aren't really necessary...
Morning everyone!! So far the rains holdin off, but that don't matter. April showers bring May's flowers :P Nothing but interior work lined up until June luckily!!! Been a loooooong, wet spring.

Good luck there Trent.

10,000GVW is a yearly safety here.
The rest is usually lifted trucks.
Then there's the garages that pass one with nothing done to it, make a lil cash money to give it a nod, ignore the illigal items. It's a no win for guys when VUI pulls it in right after purchasing and then get nailed with heafty repairs/mod's to make it legal. Unforturnately its all far too common these days. On the flip side, Perhaps I should have been more up to speed on the new laws on lifted trucks and I never would have found out the hard way
With mine they found:
No Cat converter (had to be "FORD")
No Muffler (had to be "FORD")
Upper ball joint (R)
Both tie rods
Front pads and Rotors (rear were on the line)
Tire rub marks on springs
Non "DOT" head lights (had a red tinge to them)
Bumper height over 29"
Track calculation under 1.8
No marker lights, over cab and rear for over width (81")
I think that's it......
Only 3 weeks to comply or pulled off road. Was a race to figure everything out and didn't meet the deadline. Plates were off for a week until tires came in and had to have it towed in for re-inspection.
A wife was curious when she found two old negatives in a drawer and had them
made into prints. She was pleasantly surprised to see that they were of her
at a much younger, slimmer time, taken many years ago on one of her first
dates with her husband. When she showed him the photos, his face lit up.
"Wow, look at that!", he said with appreciation, "That's my old Ford!".
Luck has little to do with an inspection. I'm sure they will locate a few things wrong. Just a matter of "how deep into my pocket" do I want to go to keep truck on the road.
Cloudy with few little showers here, nothing much for rain except to muck things up.

With new coils in the front of my 64 XL the front end sits up too high so I`ll find a way to bring the back end up a touch instead of cutting the new springs, I think that in time the front end would sag back down again.

Happy Tuesday everyone...
Happy Tuesday back at you Sherm.
I dug a hole and burnt pieces of that old house in my yard since it was easier to do that instead of hauling it away somewhere.

Cute story Grant, I can see that happening with me too.
Yup, happy hump day!! Had a little drizzle rain last night. Everything is wet and smells nice outside
Spent some time around the yard last night, pulled out a John Deere No.4 mower, ground driven, horse drawn I suspect. Pretty neat. There's a pile of the old horse drawn stuff kicking around.
Hey, if anyone knows where there is a cheap tractor from the 40's or 50's in respectable condition, let me know. I'm looking for something old that I can putz on, make a lot of noise and go really slow lol... Looked at a John Deere 60 yesterday but the guys want too much money for its condition.
Happy Hump Day Mornin'all. Drizzle this morning. Met 56 Panel John and his wife yesterday. It was a pleasure to meet more awesome FTE member's. John: thanks a ton for the deflector. Next time I want to see the Panel in the Parking lot. Thanks again, and have a great day guy's.
Grant, it's pretty awesome when everyone meets up and gets a face to the name. Pretty cool that you found a part you needed through here!!
Been trying to rain all day, thankfully it didn't. Took a load of scrap aluminum in from jobs last year. As I pull in the driveway I get a call for an insurance claim quote a few blocks from the scrap yard on Logan. Ahhhhhhh crap lol. Back to the concrete village I go Now to get away with sneaking in some Dairy Whip after i'm done and mumzie not finding out. MMmmmm chips/chili and a chili dog mmmmmmm!!
Pretty sure the breath will give it away
Found out what my problem was with the brakes on my panel today. It's funny how you can be convinced a sound is coming from the rear when in fact it is actually coming from the front. I discovered that my caliper was making contact with my wheel so I ordered some wheel shims which my also help remove the slight contact the tire is making with the sway bar as well.
