Good Morning Sherwin, Grant, Clint, Morris, Brett, Gerry, STeve, Colin and Randy!!
SHe was chilly last night but feels decent out there today. The 6.0 was not happy with me yesterday. Haven't run her in a week and she sure was grumpy firing up after supper for my X-Mas shopping eXcursion. (pun intended there hehehehe)
My Gryphon tuner should be here today, UPS shows attempted delivery yesterday but I don't think so. Was home all day, no call, no card...grrrrrrrrr. Looking forward to loading up PHP's Atlas tunes!!
Time to head out to the shop and get the fire going. SLed parts came in, picked up last night. I made an OOboo and ordered wrong. Missing a main wheel. Once I got home and checked my paperwork I confirmed I made a mistake and told Yamaha that I was 100%positive I ordered 2 ect ect ect. Going to have to call there today and make it right. Don't want the young lady that helped me out to get in trouble. Plus they heavily discounted my price for the trouble. KooDoo's to Wpg Sport for that.
She's doing fine just a little sore in the shoulder, and a lot sore in her left foot. She still on crutches and working. She one of those dedicated employee's. Doctor said she only needed a day or 2 off. We have a meeting with MPI on Thursday to settle up.
Evening Clint.

I don't like to idle my vehicles either but when it`s this dang chilly I do a bit.
Hopefully by Sunday or Monday we be up to -20.
Do you have a wood stove in your shop Curtis? I think that`s awesome tho it`s a lot of work unless you buy your wood.

Yep, Wood Chief. Great stove. I have alot of Huge Maples around my property. So old their turning into widow makers. So every summer the family and I top a few of them. Gets me enough wood for the winter usually. It doesn't take much to keep it warm in there. Stoves getting older and letting in a bit too much air so next summer i'll have to weld some patches/seams up. Eventually, 200amp service with an electric furnace.
I bought the 1st year here, oh ya, cheap deal.......Was 2 cords of 2x4 cut offs lmao. Burnt hot but too quick for me. From job's/sites I collect throughout the summer. Cut em up to 22" and blend them with moist or 1 yr old maple. Use em to get the fire going. Used popler the 2nd and 3rd year from parents property, way too messy, low heat and had to clean the stove waaaaay to often. Harder it gets, the more I just want to turn a dial
Lookin like another chilly one tonight. Weather warning for wind chill issued I see. Looking forward to some more snow now cause it usually warms up with it
Awesome, I love wood stoves. I have alot of old Maples around my farm yard too and every so often the wind knocks over the ones that are rotten and weak inside. A friend of mine cuts up the larger ones I`ve cut down for his wood stove in town.
Won`t an electric furnace be very expensive to operate?
It`s too cold to snow here, some relief is insight after this weekend.
Its -29 here right now, -41 with wind. This morning it was -47 with wind. I am so glad I work inside and have a large heated loading bay at my work to thaw and work on my vehicles/toys. Only problem is my work is a 20 minute drive from home.
Another frigid one here... -30. On the topic of heat, the acreage we recently bought has an ancient oil furnace. Tank is in the basement which is nice because fuel would never gel, but its bad because no one would insure the house with the oil tank in the basement nowadays. Oil tank would have be installed outside and had to be a new double walled unit. We opted to go with a propane furnace. It will be about 1/2 the cost of running the oil furnace once the initial set up costs are swallowed. Another bonus is that if and when I decide to bite the bullet and bring natural gas through, the furnace will be easily converted. I plan to get a wood stove in the house also, for novelty and back-up.
