Good for you Curtis. There are so many young out there and others that just don't
get it. When they do we scrape them off the street. Or the unlucky wife and kids they hit.
We call it a scoop and run. I see it all the time here. Three Troopers patrolling a couple thousand miles of road. So many just don't care and feel they will live for ever.
Like it ain't never gonna happen to me. Then we get a scoop and run call. Ya can't tell them I told ya so cuz they can't hear the living. So many are just kids. And so many
family's they take out with them.
Like the Man said. Please be safe and smart this winter. Live to see another.
Sorry Moe, Rant over for now till it comes up again.
Awesome post Curtis, I sent rep points you`re way.
Not a rant but another good post Rich, rep points sent you`re way too.
Leave home afew minutes early, drive more carefully, watch out for the other guy and the life you save could be your own or someone's loved one, take care out there!
A great post, Curtis, and a good reminder to try and not blind other drivers on snow covered roads. I use to drive a semi for a living and I saw so many bad situations on snowy roads where people should have not passed. You raised such a good point about thinking about if the other driver will be blinded by the snow before you pull out to pass.
Thanks guys. I'm not to much for posting sappy stuff, being a cool quad racin kinda guy (yeah right) but there are some things that are really important to remember. Family. And the family member in the car in front of ya.
Evening Morris, Grant, Curtis, Clint, Brett, Bridgeford and all who brave the snow.. It was a balmy 71 degrees down this way. Did a bit of barbecuing taking advantage of the day. We are in for some bad weather though. Rain then after the weekend it is supposed to get cold..
Just got back from the hospital. My wife Dawn was in a terrible accident tonight. She dropped our 8 yr old Kalan off at hockey and decided to go to Walmart to shop. Turning off the main road she lost control and got T-Boned, pinning her against the hitting truck and a tree. She is banged up, but OK. Our Explorer is a wright off. The other vehicles occupants denied treatment, the police were not involved. It acually happened in the connecting street to the 7 Oaks Hospital. The other driver & passenger walked away and got the hell outta there. (sometin fishy). Anyways my wife is fine, a little bruised up. We're having a bit of a storm, and while tryin to pull in the drive way, I was met by a 4ft drift. Needless to say, I will be late for work in the morning. I had a feeling today, with our weather that she should have stayed home. If the weather's bad, and the street's / highway's are bad, Listen to the weather people; Stay home. Nobody's life is worth the risk. God Bless.
Sorry to find out about your wife Dawn, I`m really glad to hear that she`s ok.
If the other driver & passenger walked away asap then it does sound weird to me too, I would have called the police just to be sure it wasn't a stolen vehicle involved.
While it`s quite cold here and no storm here I agree, if the weather's bad stay home and be safe.
God Bless, I hope Dawn really will be ok and nothing shows up later on.
Sorry to hear about the accident. I hope your wife will really be ok and nothing shows up later on. Like Morris said, sounds a little fishy with the other vehicle occupants..
Sorry to hear about the accident Grant, but happy she wasn't hurt badly!! Winter driving is definitely a challenge and not something to be taken lightly.
Happy Thursday everyone, without a doubt these last few posts tell us to hug our loved ones and be very thankful that we are fortunate to have them. May nothing take them from us in an untimely manner.

I realize that your wife's well-being is the focus here, but isn't police attendance required if suspected damages exceed $3500? I feel something fishy about the folk that hit your wife. Hopefully you have information about them that you can report to the authorities?
