Now I`m a real happy camper, this morning the tire shop found a tiny hole in each left tire so no more flat tires! We did some more Christmas shopping and we watched my grandson play hockey tonight, his team got beat 5-2 but he still enjoyed playing. Last game he score 4 goals.
Did you get new tires or plug/patch the holes in the originals? Either way, nice to have them fixed. Flat tires suck.
Watching little kids play sports is very entertaining. I'm glad you can still speak in terms of "winning and losing". It seems that the current education system and its educators are trying to eliminate that concept. Its more of an "everyone wins, just in a different way" concept?? I tell my kids, in life there are winners and losers. Work hard to make yourself better than the next person and you will be the winner. The concept of no winners will leave us with generations of kids who can not and will not apply themselves to be better...
Sherwin - I agree with you on the winning and losing thing, kids are so over sheltered these days its not even funny! I don't know how it is out in Sask but I'm pretty sure here kids can't fail in school any more either (someone correct me if I'm wrong because I don't have any kids in school lol). Also I use to have an 86 (I think) Polaris Indy 600 triple. It was a good sled when I could get it running, It didn't like to start cold. My brother in-law use to have an 03 Edge 800 xc and he was bragging how fast it was and how it beat his uncles sled that was the exact same as my Renegade but it was a 2011 not the 2012 like mine. Funny thing is when I finally got tired of hearing him brag how fast it was and raced him, I left him behind pretty good. After that all I heard was how everything was broken and not running right on his sled!
Happy Tuesday mornin'all. Glad you got your tire issue resolved Morris. Nice to see the friendly sled brand mud slingin. When we were Sub Zero Hero's, we had a blast trashing each other's brand's. We had the odd one take offence, but for the most part it was all in fun. Have a great day guy's. Hope to pick up the Edge on Thursday.

Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts Curtis, we had that over the weekend but it`s back to the Arctic weather by this weekend. We did get 4-5'' of snow but guys on sleds still aren`t overly happy.
Good evening Steve and all who lurk here tonight.
Awesome stuff. Good to get it fixed before the next cold snap!! Bummer about the game but hey, it's all about the fun factor anyways

I do not understand this concept.
I tell my kids there's no such thing as "I" in "Team". Team sports, team effort. I treat my family as a team. I think a better way of putting across to young ones these days is more about respect and work ethic. You need to earn the respect of others by having a good work ethic. Wether in sports, helping in class, concerts or dad chop wood out back. Mannors, respecting others, work ethic/respect is a dying thing. My neighbors kids are freagin AAA hockey stars. hunted by teams to play for tournaments ect ect. There 10 and 12. I've never, ever have seen them outside cutting grass, cleaning the yard, shoveling and very very rarely playing. No penalties for missing school. Guaranteed a passing grade. Their age they're treated like winners, talk like there winners and think their winners. Guess it all boils down to how we all define what a winner is and isn't. I kind of understand the systems way of teaching and praising everyone equally. My son has a disability and struggles to keep up to his grade level. He gets is, just slower than the average kid these days. But practical skills/work ethic he gets it instantly. He never leaves my side when I'm doing chores, tinkering ect ect. He's gonna have one hell of a work ethic that one!! I'm so glad the schools treat each equally and don't single out that one struggling in class. Because when kids see a weakness in others and it's known, that's when they pray on them and treat them different. It's just human nature IMO. Kinda like when you see a Phazer on the wide open flats, your gonna crack the throttle and pass it. Harmlessly of coarse but the point will be made. It's Faster. WINNER. Get on the trails/twisties and the Phazer easily takes the lead, LOSE. If we all did the math at the end of the day we're all equal. Won some parts of the day, lost others. We all share a bubblie at the end of the day and talk BS and war stories from the past sharing a passion
I Agree with what your saying Sherwin, totally agree. Winners/losers those are just words but I totally get your point. Honestly, there aren't alot of dads like us out there that teach our kids to be better and strive to be better. Be humble, helpfull and respectfull.
SOrry about the blabbing guys, I get worked up on the way kids are becoming these days.
Note to self, don't leave snow to shovel till the next day......Takes twice as long
Took the little guy out for a 10km sled ride today. He made a good co-pilot, pointed to all the big snowdrifts to plow through!! Made lots of uballs today but had a blast!! Then, to boot, he was outside with me for the last 4 hours shoveling the back. Man I'm a lucky and blessed dad!!
I thing we should grab the bull by the horns and set something up. Sherwin had the idea, come on bud, set a date and place to meet up. Lets do this guys.
How far are you going Brett? I've driven through Northern Ontario lots and have paid lots of attention to the trail system there. It would be awesome to do a ride there also...
We have some pretty decent trails around kenora/dryden. That's the area I live in.
I'm trucking my sleds right to Manitoba. Visiting the in laws in pinawa for some of the holidays, nice having my sled there when I start to get coped up.
I'm in east central Saskatchewan with a few sledding members in the area, Curtis is north of Winnipeg, Brett is in Ontario, sounds like Curtis would be the most central area...
