TGIF day and another day closer to Sunday and going to look at a 64 XL 3 hrs away in Waldeck Sk, it`s been one of my dream cars for many yrs. I`ve made the deal over the phone but I need to put some actual $`s in the seller`s hands to keep it till spring.
Morris that car is beautiful bro, go get 'er........ good luck
Thanks Gerry, one like this has been at the top of my wish list for a long time.

Morris, that is a beautiful car! You should totally buy it!
Did you use a tow rope or a chain? A neighbour pulled my Bobcat, 8,300 lbs, out when I was hung up in a ditch full of snow by leaving slack in the tow rope, taking run to tug with the tow rope with his 01 F150 4X4. The first tug didn`t really budge me but after the second try there was some movement and a few more I was out. It really helped that he was lined up for a straight pull.
I definitely am buying this XL Randy!
We made the deal over the phone last week and on Sunday I'm driving 3 hrs to put cash down in making the final arrangements. The seller has storage for it till spring since I won't drive it that far till the salt is off the highways.
That's a sweet car Morris!!! If you need to make room for it let me know...
Well, damper on my riding plans for the weekend... Talked to my riding buddy last night, he had been having some performance issues with his sled last time we were out. Tore into it to find that a piece of the cylinder skirt had broken off and tumbled around inside the crankcase and lodged in the reed case... New motor time for him. Polaris builds a phenomenal chassis, but they need to work on building a 800cc motor that lasts more than 2000 miles.
I'll likely do some riding solo, but its always so much more fun with another guy...
FORDS on the pole AGAIN this week in VEGAS, lets go boys
Missed practice last night but did see #99 with the fastest lap!!

Holy snapper, 2000miles. That means in the last 3 seasons with the crappy Phazer I would have rebiult the motor 2 times per season T
I'm sure if Polaris asked nice like Cat, Yamaha would build them an engine that lasts
Jus razzin ya.
If your our ridin alone, Sherm, take er easy. Bring some electrical tape, and something to stick in the snow to jimmy rig a mount for the GoPro to catch that vid of you smokin some drifts
Happy Saturday mornin all. Nice car Morris, My dad had a 4dr. Curtis/ Sherm: in the late 80's a friend of mine put a Yamaha 570 in a Polaris 500 chassis and called it his YAMALARIS. It's amazing that he took the time to do something like that. Back then we lived to sled, but this guy was a sled head 12 months out of the year. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he had determination. We've had a ton of snow lately, and the weather will be nice this weekend. I think I'll let the kid's take a rip on the sled's this weekend. 2nd time this year. How sad Well guy's, enjoy the weekend.

I was using a tow rope but it's only a 20ft. and he was too far into the ditch to be able to get any momentum to pull him out. And every time I gave him a tug my truck would slide closer to the ditch. Another reason I gave up is because the last tug I gave, I kept on he throttle for a bit and when I let off my truck died. It started back up right away but I figured that was a sign to quit.

That`s what I like to see!

Thanks Colin, tomorrow I off to see it and hopefully it`s as good as it looks in these pictures, if so I`ll be buying it and bringing it home when the salt is gone off the highways.

Thanks for the offer Sherm but I`m good to go!
Riding alone is a bummer, like with quads as it`s a lot more fun riding with a buddy or two.
3°C for tomorrow and the rest of the week looks good too!

I`d quit then too, certainly sounds like a bad situation all around!
Happy Friday mornin'all. Blew the driveway out last night. Said to myself "Self". Hope this is the last time, but NO! It filled in overnight. I'll have to get more gas for the blower. No, I'll syphon the gas out of my lawn tractor. Maybe Mother Nature will get the picture. Have a great day guy's, and enjoy the weekend.
You do that and you will wake up tomorrow buried in grass! Beware the ides of March!

I had one of these, white with red interior. [no skirts]
It was 1966, I left it with my "buddy" in Chicago when I went to boot camp because they told us "no cars while you are in boot camp."
Returned a few months later... My so called buddy was gone, my '64 was gone and I was never able to find it.
So the other day my girlfriend says to me "I tagged you in a photo on facebook", I think to myself oh great what did she post on facebook now... So I open my laptop and log in to my facebook to find this picture
You know you have the right girl when she posts pictures like this

Finally got some decent sledding in today. Put about a 100kms on playing in the creeks.
