Crewcab Only Thread.

i am knnda new to internet and am looking for help. i have a 1973 Ford F-350 crew cab dually and it is in great shape for the most part and i am trying to restore it and am running into walls. my cab top is the main problem with a dent and warp in the metal that bent the brace down a little. does anyone know where i can get another top for it or a body shop that will make me a new one?

The crew cab roof is a one off thing, you are on your own as far as a replacement is concerned. I dont think a body shop is going to be kind to your wallet if you have them make you a new roof for your truck, I suppose you could get your existing roof repaired, and get more bracing added to your roof.

Ok, thanks. i talked to a local body shop a few days ago and they told me if i was lucky enough to find an old crew cab for parts with a good top they could take it off and put it on mine for about $3500-$4000. they said they couldnt fix it like it was but a friend of mine who restores old cars and trucks says he can bend the braces back and reinforce the top and then fill the low spots making it look good as new as long as i put a headliner in it to hide the repair. is there any place to get a headliner for this truck or how could i make one because he said he couldnt do that part.

There is a bid war on ebay for a set of black rear door panels. They are up to 825.00 with a day left. Are these really that rare? I would really like a crew myself. I have a single cab and a super now with possible second super on the way. I have posted before that i have a complete set of lariat rear doors with top and bottom trim on the exterior. The biggest problem is it looks like most of you live so far up north it would be to expensive to ship them. If any of you ever make it down to La. I could really help you out. It sure wouldn't be $800.00 for a set of door panels, that just seems crazy to me.Good luck with your builds, the old trucks just look so much better.

I thought it was pretty nuts myself. The truck was a 74 or 75. I got them for 200.00. I would pass them along for the same. I would just hate to see someone get them and try to make money for them. I have always believed in doing because you can, not how much you can make. If I have really good friends and meet good people, that is the true value for me.The panels are in very good condition. They are red. The lariat inserts are red and white. The doors have very little rot. They are complete with windows and hinges. I just hate to deal with shipping.

door panels
i'm not that far away and i have a friend restoring a xlt lariat and i am working on a crew for myself and we may be interested in both sets because both our door panels are cracked and busted. can you email me some pictures of the lariat panels and if you get time maybe the green ones to. i cant afford $800 for a set of panels, but i would like to have some better ones than mine if i can afford them. does any of these trucks have a good headliner in them. i live just north of houston and if i cant get over to new orleans we would probably have no trouble paying someone for their time to ship them.

i was reading the thread trying to learn and i found someone was looking for the inserts that go in the crew cab badges. the name of the website that makes and sells them is
Onceuponapart.com
they also have them for trailer special, camper special, many other trucks for a lot of year models. if anyone is still looking for them, i hope this helps.
as far as my roof goes, i like the idea i found about using s van roof with the extra strength it gives the roof but my friend says he dont know if he can do that. where is north country specialties? has anyone else tried this?
