I have a 1976 F250 Crew 4x4 with DANA front and rear BOM for the rear is 603717-11 and the front is 603765-2 both 4.10. I have broke the rear pinion and ring gear on the rear. I was hoping an easy swap to 3.73 both front and rear would be easy will it or do I need new interal carrier? I tow little but travel a large state, Montana hunting mostly. need better milage.
Thanks
Thanks
Hey guys, I hope I don't violate posting rules here but I"m looking for the front and rear fuel filler tubes (the metal galv. ones) for the short box trucks WITHOUT emissions (hence the smaller tube is towards the REAR of the larger Filler hole). Does anyone have a couple they would like to make a deal with??? lol reply here or send me an PM. Thanks!!
Question???? Are they the same for the shortbox in the front and rear?? I ask because I had a guy come and look for the same thing w/out the restrictor in place for the unleaded gas nozzle. I changed the tank in my '79 to a tank w/out the small vent hose that ran to the canister, I can only guess it was an older tank and I had to re-direct the vent hose to the front, instead of the back. I have a 78 f350 2wd crew cab, for parts, that has dual tanks, but it is a long bed so I don't know if that will help. If there is anyway to access a picture of one I can see if I have one.
hey guys, dont mean to write so much, just trying to learn. i'm glad some one started one of these for crewcab guys. if any one is looking for floor mats i found a complete one piece rubber floor matt for my 73 crew. they have rubber and carpet in several colors for 2wd and 4wd and they are supposed to be molded to fit like the factory originals. they are on broncograveyard.com , they also have several other hard to find things that are reproduction also. also does anyone know where i can get a replacement fuel gauge sending unit for my in-cab tank. the local o'reilly says they have one but it doesnt work in my tank because my sending unit and fuel line mound to the tank in different places and theirs is an integral unit.
Lostinfords and others----check my gallary pics out for the type of filler tube I'm talking about. The one in the picture is NOT the one i need - I need one with the small tube towards the REAR of the larger tube (ie. Non-emmisions truck). I believe this is the shape of tube I need for the front and rear of the 6' box. Anybody know for sure???
If anyone has TWO (2) to spare, let me know ASAP. Box is going to the body shop in the next few days and would like to have the correct ones by then.

IowaHighBoy - sorry i dont have any pictures of my old headliner, it was falling apart. But, all of these crews that i have seen so far do or did have a trim peice that goes across the cab from left to right at the middle posts between the doors. all the ones i have seen were plastic and snapped to the support beam that runs across there. a friend of mine bought a headliner off of ebay that looks like the one for a regular cab from LMC and used it in front and then used peg board for the back half with auto carpet from wal-mart. sorry no pictures though, he was building it for someon e else and i dont know where it ended up. it didnt look to bad though, if i cant find anything i might try it myself. if i do i will get someone to show me how to put a picture on here.
Thanks 1973CrewCab- I'd like to see what that piece is. Does it snap in across the middle from left to right? I wonder what it attaches to. I need to build one too. I also thought about putting some insulation in then the peg board or something. I have a peice of vinyl that i may use to cover the peg board. I'd love to find a piece of something that is one solid piece.

IowaHighBoy - yes , it snaps from left to right on a piece that is spot welded to the bottom of the cab support. but sorry, my plastic piece fell apart before i got the truck, i kept a couple bits of it so i could try to find something like it but have had no luck so far. i dont know how to put pictures here, but if you give me your email address, i will try to take a picture of the cab support beam with the part it snaps onto and a picture of what is left of my plastic piece, and email it to you. as far as i know, there was never a single piece headliner for these trucks but i could be wrong.
I don't have a way to PM you. I guess I do not have enough posts yet...

Here is a pic, sorry for the quality, just taken in the dark w/ flash from camera, this is in my '77 crew cab that I am removing the body from the chassis.

2nd pic of '77 crew cab headliner

pic of '74 crew cab that is going onto '77 chassis, shown w/out headliner...cross support seen, I still have to fill in hole where sunroof was cut out.

Pic of headliner that I covered w/ material from the Rag shop..an fabric store, sprayed glue on and it has been up for almost 10 years.

NOTE...johaner78, the best I can do is being able to come up w/ 1 filler neck at this time, I have not got to the '78 crew cab/parts truck, and I am not sure how soon I can dig up a 2nd one

Lost in fords - cool deal on that Supercab headliner. I'm not sure it will work for out crew cabs though. Well - maybe, but the span is so big that I'd bet it would sag in the middle.
I, like most people here have a cracked center support. I also have a water logged and therefore distorted (somewhat - not horribly bad) headliner. I made templates of both the front and rear cardboard headliners and I am planning on making them out of aluminum. I will bead roll them to add some style and strength. I will then cover them with some sort of material - not sure what yet.
I planned on either making a strip of aluminum in place of the plastic middle strip (I would sheet metal screw this into the support rib), or making the 2 aluminum "headliner" pieces overlap a bit and screwing them directly into the strip.
Maybe if you make a 1 piece liner like your pic above you could screw it into the metal support rib. Just 1 screw in the middle could "go away" and not be a total eyesore, and would do the job of keeping the thing from sagging.

I was actually going to go to the fabric store and do the same thing w/ the crew as I did w/ the s/c, it held up quite well, although I may try to replicate a lariat style headliner, I just picked one up for a s/c. did you notice that I added the mid mount interior light? It seemed to have taken out what may have been a 'sagging issue' down the line, I also plan on doing that in the crew cab, there were so many times that I neede those map lights. first I have to fill in the sun roof cut out, I actually cut the unrusted portion of roof off a '78 f350 2wd crew cab that I have for parts.
My other option is to do the trim in polished aluminum, I did a set up for my deck hatches in my boat ...that came out aweet! Maybe it would look good as headliner trim... but that is way down the line, I have to get the new...older, but in pristine shape, cab on the chassis.
