You know, if i was able to trade some of my junk for a chevy truck like that, i would do it in a heartbeat.. but i am trying to spend as little money as possible getting the vehicle to build, that way i have more money for engine / trans / suspension...
Who knows, i still have the dodge to trade / sell, and a couple other builders too.. there is not alot of telling what ill end up with..I am going to be building my engine first... so i will have pleanty of time to jump around on what type of vehicle it will go into.. and if all else fails, and i dont have time to build a vehicle for it, i already seem to have something that a 400 would drop right into...

And when i started I did the exact opposite. I spent all the money I had plus what the bank was willing to borrow me getting rims, tires and a paint job. I ended up with a stock 69 460 and c6. the truck was a slug, running 15.15 @89 mph but had a great time. If I did it over again I would not fix the dents or paint it. I would add good suspension, and build a huge motor. I think you should stick with the truck. you seem to get a lot of attention driving it.
last i heard there were quite a few headed up there. i know before when the finals were at Heartland Park it was a pretty small turn out but I think they should make a pretty good showing this year. I think I am going to go for a couple days just to hang out and see the cars.

Hell, build your Ford engine up & put it in the Dodge, would be Damned cool ! , don't ya think?
Took the old girl out for the last time this year. First run on a 70 degree track with 50 ambient air we ran a 11.86 at 113 mph at 4842 elevation. It was smoking like a diesel so we jetted down from 90's to 86's and the plugs are still black and it ran a 12.08, 12.08 and a 12.02. With a motor that big, moving that much air and that little fuel, the plugs should have been white with 86 jets. I am starting to think that there is a reason the carb was for sale on ebay. Looking at getting a quick fuel or pro-form dominator for it for next year.
from the first day to the last day we pretty much improved half a second from 12.33 to a 11.86 so i am still hopeful that it will run 11.40's on the motor with a good carb and the new headers that came in the mail on thursday.
I have 89's in my car at 700ft elevation, plugs look good and I run a holley dominator. You may look at your carb and see if it has power valves in it, If it does them buy some power valve plugs and get rid of them, or rejet alot lower to compensate for the fuel added by power valves.
Hey Miles, snapped a photo of your friend, in 'the sleeper' today at the division 5 nats here at Bandimere..... Congrats to him on making it to the 5th round of eliminations before going out...
hey John, thanks for the picture. That truck has more stickers on it every time I see it. He has always been a pretty good driver but he works on it a lot with a practice tree. What times did he run? I know he has been struggling with it a little since he blew a head gasket a few months back.
Did you end up running or just spectating? I planned on coming down but got sidetracked. I am still working on making the club clash race on the 26th.
