I'm a catastrophe adjuster for an insurance company. I live in Texas officially but travel about 9 months out of the year. It's a pretty good job, I get to help people by giving them as much money as I can without getting fired after something bad has happened. Company pays for everything travel wise, hotel, airfare, rental, etc, but if job is within a days drive I take my truck, '05 F250 CC Fx4 - love that truck! Just ordered an MBRP turbo back exhaust and an SCMT tuner from Motorhaven and am counting the seconds until they get here...
Just retired Navy Chief after 23 years. Now I am a domesticated home care giver! I think that's what we call it now a days... Like before, jack of all, master, maybe of some!
I'm a Physician Assistant. On the medical staff at a VA hospital. As of this month, have put in 20 years of service at the VA. Did a residency in Emergency Medicine decades ago and worked in ERs, etc. Came to teh VA so as to only have a 40hr work week and have a chance to be part of my kids life while they grew-up. Ended up staying at the VA because I could see a lot of my own Dad in the Vets I take care of (he was a disabled WWII vet). Have had numerous assignemnts while here...8-9yrs was in charge of teh Employee Health section. Also under a DoD sharing agreement, I provided the medical care for a Marine training detachment across the road at Fort Custer for a couple of years. For the last 5 yrs have worked as the Senior PA in the extended/palliative care section
I work durring the week as a hvac technician.,weekends as a tree cutter for a buddy and spare time I remodel houses. with the 6 new accounts and 8 more pending, I just got for remodling. I am taking time off from weekend job for the winter. My buddy that owns the tree sevice wants to come work for me because of the cold. My bosses son from the hvac company want's some extra cash and wants to work with the remodeling too. The people from the 6 new accounts also have quite a few friends who may want basements finished off. Should keep us busy for the winter if they do. I know it looks like I am a workaholic, but with 6 kids and one of them in college.you have to do what you have too.
Dock Supervisor for Yellow Transportation (6 yrs), having just shut down my side business of being in the arms industry as a gunsmith and FFL dealer. I guess being a moderator on a firearms website MIGHT count as a "job" sometimes, too!
Previously worked in L.E., as a machinist (PT while in college), and used to galavant across the globe for the USAF doing all kinds of crazy stuff in the early 90's. (Desert Storm, Restore Hope, Gothic Serpent, and several others)

Geologist at a Bentonite mine. I have worked there for almost 25 years, and in my free time I am also a grain farmer. Took over from my dad about 10 years ago.
I am the Union Plus Mortgage Loan Officer... great benefit pays P&I through times of disability, strike, lock-out, or layoff for up to 6 months. After you get back on your feet, then you pay it back @ $75 minimum interest free(plus your current payment of course.) You can't get that privelidge anywhere else, though there is a 12 month waiting period to utilize it (so I can't refinance people on a picket line as others did in L.A.'s UFCW strike.) Have a Merry Christmas!
