What a year! Alonso got off to a quicker start, Pastor Maldonado cut him slack into turn 2; got a bad pit stop and still put one into the bank!!!
Speed cutting to soccer and dropping the post race interview sucks! What a bunch of jerks!! Complete disregard to the F1 fan base..... I sent them a concerned note:
Great! Maldonado made it, he can be chavez's girlfriend but he is a great driver, just what I ever said: he drives great, but the car has been mediocre. Today the car was great and he was able to do his thing, congrats!.

Yes we are trying to build the base and they really blew that one
What about Michael's error? That looked like a rookie move from my view.
And that "rookie move" is gonna cost him a 5 place grid position in the next race. Although the overhead view looked like Senna moved and Micheal corrected leaving no time for anything but a collision. But..... It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver to avoid contact. What a great race... good to see a Williams on the top step, I don't think Sir Frank could have asked for a better 70th birthday present.
Alonso is an absolute magician, and given they seem to have upgraded his ride from a wheel barrow to a 125cc go-cart, he is my tip to win the drivers championship (unless Red Bull pull their finger out... Mclaren seem to be making too many simple mistakes... which isn't very Mclaren like). I wonder when Ferrari will release Massa from his contract?
On the other hand, Lewis seems to have his head screwed on this year. Not only was he quick (which he always has been), he took the excessive qualifying penalty on the chin, something most other drivers wouldn't have done. Its amazing that Narain doesn't even qualify for the race, but gets to start in front of a guy that was 6/10ths faster than everyone (when his lack of fuel may have accounted for 1/10th at best). His drive to 8th spot was very good.
This is the best ever Formula 1 season that I can recall, at the start of the season who would have expected a finishing order of: Williams, Ferrari, Lotus, Lotus, Sauber?
Glad no one got badly injured. 60kw on board needs to be re-thought! They proved it can be done AND that it has it's hazards. How much notice more do they need?
