Just a crap shoot at this point.... Looks like the track could be cold and damp; at least to start.
So next we will have a sandy track! oh joy... But for now for a group photo:

I would not say unexpected. Mercedes has been steadily improving and Rossberg has been out running Michael regularly.
I wonder if the Mercedes will be close to qualifying speeds in the race. Good for them in any case.

I have to wonder what the outcome would have been if Michael had not been forced to drop out. He showed his mastery of team strategy early on.
