Odometer Blackout Problem Fixed!!!

ANother satisfied customer!!!!!!!!! THANKS dakota_viking!!!

To others attempting this procedure, at some point you will need to put the gear shift to the far right in order to get the cluster out.

It took 30 minutes to figure out how to get everything out. Then 1 minute to solder the cold joints, then 5 minutes to get everything back in.

Thanks for the info! I may try it if it continues to irk me! Any fix for barking dogs??? My shotgun would be a little loud in the neighborhood!

I'm going to have to get around this one day soon. Especially since I plan on selling my 1999 Ford Expedition around spring.

Thanks for the great solution to my intermittent odometer display. In about an hour and a half, I fixed it and it didn't cost a cent. The only trouble was finding the tab to press in order to remove the headlight assembly in order to get to that last screw.

gonna have to try this one. only problem is i dont have a soldering pencil. i may be stupid but what about that one i see advertised on tv the cold heat thing? any good? if not where can i get one?

Just go to wal-mart or k-mart and get a cheapy soldering iron and that will work awesome. It will be small enough.
