yes i have duraspark. but when i put it in the tbird i either have to change the ignition system from tfi or keep the fuel injection. i don't wanna do that since there is money used on my new carb and intake. and i don't really feel like rewiring a new duraspark ignition, so i will try this hei conversion first since i can use a carb and not have to rewire everything.

i tried to put my truck radiator it the car and i need to notch out a part of the frame so i think i am going to do that first tomorrow just to have it taken care of. the fan has enough room so it does not need an electric fan. is there a way i can get some custom radiator hoses made.

If you use your duraspark ignition all you have to do is find a couple of sources of power to hook it up. YOur main objective would be to keep the distributor, coil and module in tact as they are. Then connect the wires out off the module (3 or 4) to the proper connection, which would consist of a constant 12 volt source and a 12 volt source with the key on. Not too big a deal, and its free since its there. Thats just a thought though, if you would rather do it the HEI way then that sounds like a plan. You could use a hose you have laying around and figure out a way to make a template of how it should looks. Then go to an autoparts store and see if they will let you or they will go find one that is close. I have done that before, not to mention they do sell universal hoses, just make sure the hose fits connections properly. Good luck sounds like you making some good progress, are you taking pix?

I thought you had a plan on your describing the adjustment of the bands on the aod. Thats how its done on my c6, but to be certain I did some searching, I looked in my haynes then gathered all info I could on the net, and well, there are no external band adjustment on the aod, from what I can find. In a few cases those exact works where written, no external band adjustment on the aod. later
