Gun safe looks great. Brad said he's moved a lot of safes but this is his first 'Big Green'. He really likes it and its construction. He took some pictures and wanted to know if I had any problem with him anonymously (no names, no locations or location identifying details) featuring it on his company web site. I didn't have a problem with that. He's a hunter and fisherman and his wife that was along as a helper is a 911 Dispatcher in Bend. Needless to say, we spent a lot of time visiting after the install.
Not supposed to be raining, NOAA says its not raining, NOAA says just some blue sky broken up by moderate clouds BUT no rain. Well, my entire life I've grown up thinking that dark gray blanket in the sky is called clouds and the wet stuff coming down & making mud puddles is called rain. But, since NOAA says it isn't raining it may just be a figment of my imagination.
Howdy Chris! The manual pallet jack and the electric pallet jacks were fantastic. He had some electric lift jacks that were pretty darn handy as well. I saw some pretty interesting things with the safe move. Just almost a one-man operation. His wife was along to help but was mostly a 'spotter'. Her "day" job is a 911 call center operator in Bend. They do City & County. The new name for an emergency services dispatcher, I guess.
These electric lifts came in really handy as well. The blue case is the battery and controls.

Jim - That safe isn't big enough. lol
Yesterday was the qualifier for the Run For a Million riining competition that Taylor Sheridan put on. Son in law won it with a score of 230 is will be one of 17 to compete in Vegas. Now if we can only score tickets to the event. That will be a challenge.

Gun Safe? I know it isn't big enough, but I couldn't find a bigger one. Almost had to sell the wife to buy that one. We're already talking about a second one for up here, but I need to see "how short" we are.

But, it should stop the "You can't buy another gun until you buy a gun safe for Gilchrist" nonsense. Of course, we'll see what her next excuse is. She wouldn't let me go up to Woodland and buy another fishing pole from Gary at Edge Rods a month or so ago.
I usually figure the safe capacity is inflated by 3, 84 divided by 3 = 28 long guns. Not being familiar with the Remington racks so we'll see if that number holds true. I would need at least 4 of the same 25 long gun size that is in Sheridan. Winchester is making their gunstixx system for other brand of safes and that increases the number you can get in. Just have to finish setting this one up and take some measurements. Capacity problems are compounded because I have several pistols that are in cases that take up quite a bit of room. I'm considering removing them from the cases, but then I have to store the cases with spare barrels, sites, parts and pieces in an accessible location. I suppose I could possibly reduce the number of fishing poles down to 30 or 35 and use that room for the boxes?????

On the other hand, I think I'm fresh out of relatives that would be passing away before me and leaving me more guns.
