I’m thinking Friday the 5th after a morning fish we’ll drive up to Gilchrist to check the mail to see if someone dropped the wallet in the mail(ha ha ha), but some of my replacement cards should be at the post office. And my new wallet is supposed to be delivered by Amazon on Friday.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Heck of wind storm passed through around 0115. Uprooted tent stakes on the screened Dining canopy. A little bit of rain followed and it was all over in an hour or less. Went out and reset the canopy and went back to bed. Took some rope and tied it off to a tree and the picnic table. It’ll take a tornado to move it now.

Fishing good but then the winds kicked in. Some of that was running 30 sustained with 50 to 60 gusts and really big waves. Really had the boat rocking and both front and rear anchors were dragging. Looked like rain squalls all around us.
With both anchors down and dragging it put the boat broadside to the waves adding to the fun. Got the rear anchor up and the boat swung around bow into the wind and things smoothed a bit.
Got back to camp and found one of the tie downs on the canopy had ripped off, tents stakes pulled and the canopy was skewed with the camp chairs inside knocked over.
But we got fish, so it was a good day.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Beautiful morning and afternoon right up to 5 minutes ago. Wind changed directions and brought smoke in from the Emigrant Fire. Down to 100 yards visibility at best.
We caught all but 1 fish in our bag limit in just under an hour. The poles were hot. 4 1/2 hrs now and not a bite. With all the smoke we’re turning on the nav lights and chart plotter and headed in - IFR / GPS our way back to camp.
Update, cleaned fish at the gurgler and doing the South shore Pizza Shop for dinner.

Making a morning fish, then going to make a a run up to La Pine. Getting ice at the resort has turned into a price gouging exercise in futility. So, since FedEx dropped off several big boxes Wednesday at our locked gate, that we’re not supposed to be delivered until the 18th, and I want to check the Post Office to see if any of the replacement cards and credentials have arrived…we’ll also go into La Pine, get some fishing gear and 20# bags of ice (we can get 2 of those for the resort price for a single 5# bags). Maybe do some bear hunting on the way back.
