I took my 2024 F350, 7.3 to a large dealer in AZ. Don’t want to mention the name because I don’t want them to get any heat from Ford. Anyway, I showed them the letter in this thread that shows the build dates, plant location, etc. The Service Manager also said my VIN didn’t show up in OASIS for any recalls or actions, but once I showed them the letter from Stacy Balzer to all Ford dealers in the US, he agreed to perform the flashing. He also said his dealership has not received this letter from Ford. According to the work order, the tech “ performed a PCM calibration, BCM updated, and PCM and BCM calibrated”.

I really appreciate everyone’s advice on here. I’m leaving for six months back to Michigan, and I figured I’d have better luck at my purchasing dealership than I would on the road. Hopefully Ford gets this figured out so all 7.3 and 6.2 owners can get the work done soon. Hopefully this will also be a good fix and prevent some engine failures.

The more I ruminate on this CSP, the more I doubt this is the Holy Grail of 7.3 lifter failures. I believe 20 psig of oil pressure at operating temp should be sufficient. I heard it from an inside source that Ford had identified and corrected the lifter failure issue in the ‘23 model year (details unknown), and yet here we are. I wonder if the ‘23 “fix” isn’t related, and that’s why we don’t see an update for the pre-‘23 models.

I followed up with my dealer after talking to them a couple weeks ago about the PSP. They still didn't have any knowledge of it. I explained that I'm taking the truck out of state and he offered to have his tech hook up the computer and see if it takes any update. I took it in today and they said it didn't indicate there was any recall for my vin. Maybe my 24 with a feb build date doesn't need it even though its listed in the PSP. I appreciate that atleast they checked but I'm just getting the feeling Ford hasn't pushed everything down to the dealer or vins yet. It would be nice to hear from someone that their truck in this PSP group actually was notified and recieved the update.

I’ve been checking online every day since this thread came out. Still no notification of this CSP in my owner link.

Maybe it was an April Fools prank.
Why was it not executed April 1? Because it was done by the same people who schedule the truck builds.

The last word from the dealer I do business with was they had zero vehicles on the VIN list, and they interpreted this as the VIN list has not been released yet.

My dealer checked mine Wednesday and it was not on the list.
They have had none on the list either.

It strikes me in an odd way with all the Ford knowledge and connections no one seems to know what the update does or what's going on with software for it etc.

Ford is keeping this one extremely quiet. Not even the techs know from Ford on what's going on.

It makes sense for Ford to keep it as quiet as possible, otherwise it doesn't look great when they just replaced the extremely reliable 6.2 gas with a port injection NA pushrod that all of us thought there was no way they could fumble it.
