Evening Tim and Preston. I raised a couple of birds one year and the plan was to have one at Thanksgiving and the second one at Christmas. Well, I butchered the first one and the second one kept calling for it nonstop for about two days, so I went out and put that one in the freezer to wait until needed. Those things can get huge. I had a coworker that fed them basically all they could eat and he had several over 50 pounds. I only fed a coffee can apiece to mine and they dressed out around 30 pounds.

Yeah, he should be about 40-45 pounds right now. I will weigh him out when I dress him and the two hens I have.
That canyon road between Yakima and Ellensburg is gorgeous. Always enjoyed that drive. It was much better, though, before all the sight seers and tourists got in the way, when you could actually drive at highway speed through there. It's a really fun road in the right car.

Yes, it is a great drive. Especially this time of year with the deer, big horn sheep and fall colors.
