Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Rain in moderate amounts yesterday. Woke up to snow and 28° this morning. Have to head off to Bend in a few minutes to get the windshield replaced in the F350. Was going to look at lawn mowers after that, now I'm wondering if we should try for a snow blower again instead.........
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 28, overcast, and so far, no precipitation. In general all the snow is pretty well gone. Still have a few piles here and there.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Our Canadian Honker nesting pair have returned from wherever they went over the winter. They're hunkered down on the edge of the pond at the moment in a wind driven snow - sleet flurry at the moment. At least the snow isn't sticking here. Probably trying to figure out why they came back too early.
The windshield repair in Bend fell through yesterday. They had a cheap post market windshield with very little or no tinting they wanted to put in. I insisted on an OEM Super Duty windshield meeting the OEM specifications. So, we have to take it back in on the 4th, next Thursday.
Then, when we got to Lowe's, they had sold all 5 of the mowers I had decided on. They were supposed to be getting one or two more in but didn't know when that would be. So, that was a bust. I knew that several of the Lowe's in the Valley had the mower I wanted, so this morning I 'locked' one of those down, supposedly. Haven't gotten a confirmation yet, but it is supposed to be ready for me to pick up on Monday after the Warden gets her stiches out.
Have to take the F350 down to the Valley Sunday. We'll need it to tow the trailer and the new toy back. Going to be a busy week. Sunday, Easter at #1 son and DIL's and her parents place, Monday the Warden get's her stiches out from the surgery and cutting a big chunk out of her back, Monday retrieve the trailer and pick up the lawn mower at Lowe's, Tuesday a Doc Appt. and then a meeting Tues night, Wednesday back here, try again on the Pickup windshield in Bend on Thursday and Friday I have to be at the PDX VA at 1030 for a Pre-Op. Darn good thing I'm retired.
