Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Surgery yesterday took an hour longer than expected but it all worked out. All tests and tissue samples show that there were no new tumors hiding behind the calcification that had grown over the original tumor locations. They did more cutting than planned so I'm hard down. Cat and bag for a week at least, no driving for two weeks, no strenuous activity and lifting restricted to 10 pounds for 6 weeks. They were quite specific in including reeling in Salmon. A line tooooooooo far.
We'll see. Things to do and places to be. We have reservations for a campground and a memorial - G2G to be ready for the first of June.
For right now the Warden is giving orders and I am not in any shape to argue, even if I thought it would do any good. Which it wouldn't. No pain pills beyond acetaminophen and ibuprofen of the Rx strength a little stronger than the OTC stuff.

Oh Man Jim, That sounds rough! Prayers for a speedy recovery!
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 48 with blue skies.
Moving a little and moving very, very slowly this morning, but at least I'm moving. VA appointment in Salem tomorrow and then Portland on Thursday for X-Rays and Post Op. Hoping to ditch the hose and bag Thursday.
Thanks Tim. This one (#9 I think) seems to be going a little tougher. Seems to be about the same level as when they took the two tumors out. They let me deflate the baloon and take the hose out myself then. They won't do that this time.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else, including noisy Mr. & Mrs. Woodpecker.
Hard down for 2 weeks. No driving, no long trips, no fishing, no hunting…no strenuous activity…they said breathing is OK as long as I don’t over do it. Have to go the VA Hospital on Thursday for Post Op and get some external plumbing removed, I hope. Hoping things smooth out after that. This morning view from the front porch.
Thanks Chris. I rearranged some of the tie downs for the tubes and made a couple of adjustments. Still pretty tender, but it made a great improvement. A lot fewer spasms and muscle convulsions and I don't feel like I have a war lance stuck in my abdomen, unless I move wrong.
However, Renee had it right when she posted this.............
