Snow all the way into Bend.
Great looking chow Tim.
The trip up the the mountain to Bravo was not without its challenges. I sold the 20’ utility trailer and bought a new 16 footer. Only towed it for 17 miles before taking off for Bravo. Stopped every few miles to check tires, brakes & bearings. All was good. Only thing on the trailer was the 600# mower so I had turned the electric trailer brakes off. After stopping again at the Oak Grove rest area north oh Coburg, everything looked great and there was no heat at all. I was thinking of stopping at Dexter, but all seemed fine in the first hundred miles and checks in Salem, Santiam & Oak Grove so we kept on going. Oakridge all looked great.
About 15 miles out of Oakridge near McCredie Day Use the trailer started bucking. There was a wide spot and I was able to slow down and pull over within 1/4 mile.
Brand new tire with 131 miles on it had disintegrated. Tread had separated from the casing. 58 miles to go to get to the house. I hadn’t picked up a spare yet. Was going to do that today on the way back from Bend.
I used a ratchet strap to tie things up and we limped on to Bravo with just 3 tires on the trailer.
Made it to Bend and back in the snow this morning and got the new OEM windshield. About 15 miles south of Bend, a truck threw up a sizable chuck of gravel. We watched this big black chunk headed toward us. Impact had a big crack to it but we think it was high, at the top of or just above the glass. Can’t find a chip anywhere.
Stopped at the tire shop and got an estimate on Trailer tires on the way home. Geese didn’t like the snow so after a dip in the pond, they found some clear ground under the lone pine and spent most of the day there.
Called Wilco Farm and they will replace the tire. I’ll stop there after the VA hospital tomorrow.
We decided we would stay here tonight and leave at 0 dark thirty for the Portland VA.

Survived yesterday at the VA for the pre-op. Almost did not survive the stop at Cabela's afterwards. I was a total good guy and didn't buy a thing.
Stopped at Wilco Farm Supply in McMinnville They had the replacement tire and wheel ready to go, so that part went O.K..
Got to Alpha home, had some dinner and then crashed and burned. Heading back to Bravo in a few minutes. Going to bring the pickup back on Monday afternoon. Have a couple of appointments on Tuesday and then, then fill the truck with a load to atake back to Bravo. The weather will determine what goes in the load. After that, weather permitting, we can start some spring clean up at Bravo, maybe wet a line and wait for the tax man to call. The "executor" of the estate has thrown a wrench into the tax situation and filing so I hope we get that straightened out before the 15th. It's not helping my blood pressure one little bit.
