Brett, I'll see ya there. I'm almost able to move everything, and the lighter road rash areas are looking better. Chest is still green and blue but able to breath without pain now.

 

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 53, clear and sunny.

Lots of activity this weekend Brett. Have a pickup loaded full of yard debris to go to the grinder / mulcher this morning followed by a shopping extravaganza to Costco for trip supplies. A pickup load of stuff to haul off of the farm, maybe 2 pickup loads. This evening will be a boat wash and wax, Saturday car & pickup wash and wax and a wedding to go to. These folks have been together for 12 years, not sure why they decided to finally tie the knot this weekend. House sitter arrives, complete with dog and pig, Saturday night. Sunday is final loadout along with a picnic at the Ballston park. Started out as a "Founders Day" picnic with relatives (Isac Ball's relatives) as guests of honor. Kind of fun since I'm his GGG grandson. Now its jus a "Back to Ballston" picnic and they have the old one room school house open for viewing.
Right after the picnic Sunday, we are off to the High Cascades for fun, fishing and adventure. Kids will be on leave from the Navy on July 1 and they will be joining us for a week of camping fishing and boating.

Needed to get out of town and so we did. On vacation for 10 days. Had time I needed to use before end of month. Sitting here at the steens mt rv resort. Been too long since I’ve been in the area.

Wow Rich, when you get out of town, you really get out of town! We'll be at Diamond Lake from the afternoon of June 27th though July 11th if you happen to be taking the long way home through Southern and Central Oregon.

When we get down to that area we usually stay at the BLM Campground almost (slightly down stream) right across the Donner Und Blitzen River from where you are at. It's a primitive camp though and doesn't have the amenities of the resort. If you have enough bug repellant in your survival kit, the fly fishing could be pretty decent.....just saying. Anyway, last time there we had deer in camp every day and evening.
If you happen to tour the area, swing into the P Ranch just outside Frenchglen, you can still see the foundations of the ranch HQ of Peter French Used to be a good sized buck deer that hung out inside the 'Long Barn'. The Round Barn up towards Diamond is interesting. My distant cousin, related to the cousin we inherited the Ballston Farm and ranch from built a lot of the long barns and the round barns for Peter French. His name was Nimrod Comegys.
Anyway have a load of fun and don't let the skeeters get the better of you.

House sitter gets here Saturday afternoon. We have a wedding to go to out in Ft. Hill on Saturday afternoon and Sunday is the Back to Ballston Picnic. As a GGG grandson of Isaac Ball it's always kind of fun to go to.

Sunday after the picnic we are going up to the Gilchrist place for a couple of days then on down to Diamond Lake for 2 weeks of fishing, sightseeing and in general goofing off.
