I want to look and see if they have the Furrion Rearview camera system on sale.

We were talking about the PDX show next month. Not interested in going up to the Marine Drive / PIR / Racetrack homeless camps so, we decided if we saw what we wanted in Eugene, we most likely won't go to the PDX show. I know they are supposed to have the homeless/hobo camp situation handled, but my sister just did a dog show up there and the dog show people had all sorts of problems with them.
Thank's but I have the coupons as well. $8 for 2 of us and free parking for the salem RV show is hard to beat. haha. You have the same reasons I'm not too interested in the portland show. The less I go north, the better it seems although Eugene is not that far behind as far as the unhoused camps. I do need to talk to my boat top guy but I don't need to go up there to do that.

Well, for the first time in 2.5 years I finally have a computer that is my own. When we moved, I put my custom desktop in storage. A year ago I tried to fire it up and that was a no go. I was going to build a new one but didn't want to spend the funds. A couple days ago I bit the bullet and ordered a new laptop. Took many months of looking at the outlet store to find one that would work for my photography needs that was relatively cheap. I guess I'll see how it works out. Now for the pain of getting all the apps and "stuff" installed so it's useful. Took the last 3 hours to get all of its updates.

Now to dust off the DSLR and relearn all of the photo stuff.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just getting home from Eugene. The sportsman's show down there was a bit of a disappointment. Nice show for locals, but not much to travel any distance to. Still not a bad day with friends. Stopped at Pioneer Truck Plaze for dinner and some excellent clam chowder on the way home.
Heading to the RV Show at the State Fairgrounds in the morning.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.

Funny you should ask Chris! Home from the RV show in Salem. Different venders had two different 3 camera systems that could cover all the blind spots. The second system I saw was actually a 4-camera system. Unfortunately, neither were offering RV show sales or discounts on them and the prices were actually just a little higher than the same systems I had seen elsewhere. Didn't work for me. I can go to the dealership we bought the camper from and get the Furrion 3 camera system for the same price and get a 10% military discount. So, if I can't find it any cheaper, that's probably what I'll end up doing.

Saw a lot of nice RV's, but nothing that even came close to tempting me away from our camper. Well, there was this Class A that was well North of a cool million. The women didn't even want to go in for a peek see, but we convinced them to. I seem to remember commenting to my hunting partner and an overly zealous sales rep that we needed 2 of those. Not sure what happened right after that but I'm sure I heard the sound of a cast iron skillet a split second before I started seeing all of them purdy little stars.

After we left the show, we went over to Lancaster Blvd and found Olive Garden for dinner.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 40 and have made it up to 43.2 now. it's overcast and raining so nothing is going to get done outside today.

Exactly my thoughts!
To be fair they had a lot of mark downs on the RV's from their full retail prices, but maybe not as much as some would think. Just as an example, one of the 5th wheels one of the dealers had on display was shown as "Normally $129,000, Show Price $96,000". I was talking to one of the salesmen from that particular dealership (same one we bought the camper from), and he said once the show was over and in a couple of weeks when the prices went back to 'normal' it would probably be on the lot for around $99,000.

There were some high-powered rechargeable flashlights I'm familiar with the price on that they had for $10 off, another outfit had some Traeger Grills and accessories with reduced from their normally high retail prices. My partner picked up a bottle of Traeger Grills cleaning spray for $4.95 which had it's dealership price tag still on it for $14.95. Kind of made me wonder if the stuff even works with that kind of a mark down / sale price.

But the camera systems were all full retail plus. In fact, the one salesman told me that the prices on the rear/side view systems have been taking huge jumps in prices in the last month or two and he doubted that with there popularity, that anyone was going to be having a sale on them.

We're probably going to the Sportsmans show sometime later this week.

Morning all. Slow start this morning after a long day with the birthday girl.

RV show was ok for us. Didn't see anything that made us change our mind regarding what RV may be next. Wasn't many people and that didn't bother us. RV's is a love have relationship for sure.

Need to get outside and get some stuff done but I seem to lack motivation.
