I took the old model 1917 Enfield 30-06 (sporterized) out to the range for its 100th birthday in 2018. It laid down a 1.1" group at 100 yards using cheap Cor-Lokt ammo. My dad picked it up for $75 in Alaska in the early 80s. I shot my first deer or two with it and my first elk with it. It needs a new stock because it started to crack at the back of the receiver. My dad's DIY repair is holding together, but I'd feel a lot better about it with a new stock.

Good morning everyone (it's still barely morning here). I just spent 2 hours at my patient's house. He got a big presentation from the VA and Combat Vets Association with some challenge coins and other things, and packet of information for his trip to D.C. to see the Vietnam Memorial. I'll be accompanying him on the trip late next week. He's a purple heart recipient and has given a lot back to the veteran community over his life since serving in Korea and Vietnam. I'm honored to be able to take him on this trip.
