Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Home from the VA Hospital. Annual cancer check completed. Just have to get through a day or two of minor discomfort and all will be well, until next year.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 42.7 up from 39 & overcast. Got some hunting in this morning. We decided to save money and conserve ammunition this morning. Besides, shotguns are pretty noisy as well.
Surprising on the Mortgage company. Most of those outfits seem to vacuum up money like crazy without even a "thankyou".
Had a problem at the range down on the N. Yamhill River this afternoon. Picked up what I thought was a good inflatable, 11'6" 3 chamber raft. Well, found it wasn't so good. With the floor chamber completely deflated, the side and end chambers saved the day, but I with the bottom chamber deflated, I couldn't defeat the current to get back to the launch area. Got it back across the river (total dark now) and beached on a muddy briar covered hill just below the long-range target pits. I was plenty pooped and it was 2030 so I tied it to a tree and will go back later and get it.
After that it gets cleaned up and goes back to the store. And, planning for problems, I had 3 high powered flashlights with me and leather gloves and a heavy sweatshirt for the briars. Still got briar punctures muddy as all get out. Had fun watching the beavers playing around and slapping their tales though.
