ok, i saw the ultimate redneck/hick the other day. I was out pheasant hunting with my friend, we were out on his family's land, and one of his cousins drove out in a old chevy s-10 i think, it was so rusted out i could barely make out the bowtie on the grill. but anyway, it had rained, so on his way out, we saw him coming from aways away, he has 4 wheel drive, but he came blasting through the mud in 2 wheel, rooster tails shooting up through the rusted out wheel wells, then coming to a skidding halt next to my friends truck, he gets out and says hi, then notices smoke coming out from his engine, unlatches the hood, and picks his battery up that was just hangin from wires, puts it back in place, (battery just loose in the engine compartment, (clamps probably rused out)) and caused an electrical fire, he just let the fire go out, and got out the vice grips and somehow mashed the wires together, and started the truck up again, it was crazy, now thats a redneck/hick/whatever you wanna call it. about 2/3'ds of his bed of his truck was missing, you could probably see the ground through the bottom of the cab, and everything in the engine compartment was all melted toghether/coated with ash and battery acid.
ive got a performance mod for ya'll. i once used some pvc and duck tape to make a cool air intake for my 88. it was the hottest thing. every one in school loved it. when it stayed together it actually worked pretty good. but because it was two peices duck taped together in a Y and then a coffee can as an adapter for a k&n cone filter i had it fall out and hit the road as i was driving one day. it made a cool woushing sound when i stood on the throttle. dought it made much of a difference but i have the results from emissions that say it made the emissions better(still didnt pass but hey) i even took some rattle paint and mached it to the color of the truck!!
He's in Nebraska. Gotta have a blue heeler in the back.
And "Cattle Country" mudflaps that are ratty and faded.
And a "rodeo or die" bumper sticker that has long since worn off leaving only the vague imprint of the words.
The grill guard must be expanded steel with the white paint flaking off and the rust taking over.
Add on a saddle tank and cut two holes on either side of the body for the access.
A gooseneck hitch in the back that is attached via a 3'x3' plate.
A topper (cap) in a contrasting color with a missing window and half of the back welded and pop-riveted together.
But the back bumper should be a brand new chrome drop bumper...
Oh, wait a second.... I've just described *my* pickup. Nevermind.

So your from the sand hills? We should go 'yote huntin sometime.....just got a new .243, and as soon as deer season ends. its getting its first blood!
I don't know if these qualify or not, but I know someone who had two worn out engine mounts. He used a chain to replace the first engine mount and a come-along to replace the second.
I don't mean for you to go and replace perfectly good mounts, but this may come in handy some day, and you could 'em show off if you have any engine mods to display.

heres a good mod to do coat the entire underbelly of the truck in hurculiner. then get a flat black paintjob with barbwire pinstripe soem naked lady mudflaps. tire ont he front spraypaint the rims black glossy nto flat and then put dimodplating bed rail and maybe tail gate edge follewed with the cb antennas even if u dont have a CB radio and to top it off a nice sound system, cant forget the footprint gas pedel im geting one!!! and some skynard
One nice addition, being a hick myself is to make bumpers out of channel iron and railroad ties. You can smash into stuff all day long without any worries.
oh and another thing if you could possibly get ahold of some of those lund hood vent things make sure to stick about 4 of those on the hood , don't buy them new try to get some that are already broken or I guess you could buy new ones and run over them a couple times on a gravel road, those things seem to be the rave around here right now with the redneck hick type people ,there is about a 93 running around town now with 3 stuck to the hood ,and if local law permits it , or nevermind if you're a true hick the law don't matter, try to get something to drag , maybe some chains or half way attached exhaust , that should be awesome.
