You definitly need some diamond plate steel bumpers and weld two pipes on the front about 5in high and at both ends of the front bumper, this is so you can wrap heavy guage chain on the front(makes a cool sound to). The pipes should also be big enough to double as fishing pole holders.
Looks to me like there are some problems trying to distinguish between hicks and rednecks. Trust me, these are two completely different types of people.
Hicks are very practical... duct-tape, baling wire, cardboard & plastic are often seen on their vehicles in place of OEM equipment.
Rednecks are very flashy... fancy paint (any paint is fancy), lots of chrome and aftermarket parts like antenna and lights.
Both do share loud pipes but for different reasons. The hick usually just has a hole in the OEM muffler. The redneck has purposely removed his muffler.
Generally, rednecks keep their trucks looking fairly nice- afterall, they've spent a ton of money on pretty stuff. There will be the times you see them just after having a little fun in the mud, but most of the time they keep the chrome sparkling.
Hicks, on the other hand, have absolutely no money invested in the repair/upkeep of their vehicles. They are the ones you see driving the truck missing body parts (unless patched with cardboard/plastic) and covered in dirt. The grime isn't from fun though. It's just from driving to/from home on the dirt roads.
So, you really need to pick a genre and outfit your truck accordingly.
Wow, thanks for defining that! Yeah I dont want a rashy truck, I want it to be nice, just pouposefull (is that a word) I want this truck to work as good as it looks. nothing fake of week.
You could also put some animal horns of your choice on the hood. Multiple colors are also very stylish, as long as you did't paint it that way. The body panels have to be from different trucks. I will try to get some pictures of my hick/farm truck up for you.
i have a good hick truck. 85 F-250 4x4... 351.. runnin on 6 cyl. but still faster then a chevy.. a beautiful exhaust tone of a rusty glasspack and a few manifold leaks.. black paint with rust and rot in all the right places. gun rack. also.. have to have required items in the bed.. i have... boards (ramps), gravel, a chain, a jack, another jack, antifreeze, oil, a shovel, a funnel, and assorted bungee cords. 2 broken leaf springs so it rides a bit tilted. hows that for a hick truck.. oh, and i do live in the middle of a corn field.
Y'all might cain make some "smokestacks" form two old driveshafts and paint them with silver spraycans. Maybe a rebel flag with Hank Williams' head in the center and a bumper sticker that says "Eat more possum".
definatly put on some stack style mufflers that come up through your bed behind your cab, then get the little caps that go over the holes, so when you start it up it makes this cool clinking sound
Bales of hay in the bed
Shovel jammed in one of the bed rails
Tailgate made with 2x4's
Air horns on the roof
Dont mess with Texas bumper sticker
Triple roll bars
Beer cans in the bed
I live in WY, I should know what a redneck truck looks like
