I love it when someone slaps a sticker on there back window, and all the sudden there "redneck". Being a redneck isn't were your from, but how you live Rebel. And not all rednecks have to fly the confederate flag Sean, if it doesn't mean anything to you, don't be a posser(spelling?).
P.S. Since Ford is THE redneck truck, you really don't have to do much to it

Right on! as a matter of fact, I have just picked up a skull and crossbones flag that im going to put in as my headliner. Im not From the south, nor do I ever have plans to live, or even Visit there. Im From the West, Wyoming is my home, and thats what ill build my truck as.... "Thats is why I live my life beneath these western skys"
I think you are country if you can still be anywhere in town and still be no more then 3 blocks from a dirt road. My house may be in the City Limits, but I play out in the Mud! I listen to Sepultura, Mudvaine, and Soulfly, but My Hero will always Be Johney Cash. And Yes.... I have a Honda, Riced out , 17's, purple underlights, two JLs under the hatch, and an open intake, but I own two ford trucks, a new Mustang, and an Rx7 with a 5.0 in it. Yes I stand on the corner with the boy, and wear a black coat with a black Beanieand shoot the ****.....but its a carhart and I can head shot a rabit at 300 yards off hand with my .17 I think these days country is just a look.....but thats just my humble opinion.
That truck is sweet! I like the small flag stickers in the windows they really set it off!

pick one or the other, we dont need city people corrupting the country. i respect you if you wanna be a city kid, but dont mix the 2. thinking of your rice burnin "fast and the furious" car next to your redneck truck, just makes me wanna puke. those are 2 opposites that dont belong together. pick a side and be proud of it. thats the way i live my life.
are you talking about my truck with the flag stickers in the windows??
This is getting off topic, I'll have my say and post no futher on the meaning of words and get back to trucks.
Redneck: A term originally used by city folk in the south to denote a farmer and probably an uneducated person. The farmers neck is always red 'cause he wears a hat while plowing but his neck is sunburned from him bending over the plow all day exposing it to sun.
Hick: some one on the farm far from city limits, again, considered by city people to be ignorant, thou they had no problem with eating their produce and enjoying their trade.
On Long Island, we have a big town called Hicksville, so far no one has taken any offense, altho we did have a road called Guinea woods road, eventually the Italian segment got that changed(seemed stupid to me, it was named after a game bird.)
Stars and Bars, otherwise known as the Confederate Flag. To some it may denote racism, to those that know their history it represented states rights over the federal government. Still a valid expression of a political viewpoint, some will still be offended, political correctness rules in the current climate.
Hick, redneck, country boy, city boy are all a state of mind, not a predetermined personal charecteristic.
I know, I grew up in New York, Arkansas, Tennesee and California. My Grandparents were from Texas(mothers side) and the others from Brooklyn as immigrants. I have a maternal ancestor who signed the Declaration of independence, Thomas Lynch.
So, there ya' go. I can lay claim to any title I want, just like anybody else.
It's all about a state of mind and not pidgeon holing people.
And yes, you can be all of them!!!!
America, ain't it GREAT!.
