Ultimate Hick Trick?
I need Ideas!
Ok... Im NOT a truck guy, but I now have an 87 F-150 single cab short box 5.0 AOD 4x4 4.10 gears, ls rear, and it has 33's on it.
Its dinged up aand the paints bad, but it runs like crazy!
I want this thing to be the picture of a true 'hick truck'' !!
I have a good welder, and axcess to a lot of steel, so im going to make bumpers for it, and I got a KC daylighters light bar with 2 spots, 2 6x9s, and 2 55w backups....what else do I need?
I was thinking of sawzalling the fenders out about 3 inches since there is a little rust there anyways, and putting on some rubber fender flares....
Its hard to lift one of these IFS front ends... I would like to see some pics of yalls trucks!
This isnt my only car by far, so I have the time to do whatever to it! I want all the hicks in my town to say DAmn....he doesnt deserve a truck that cool! :-)

the confederate flag somewhere is a must, put on some strait piped stacks (like on a cemi) that go through your bed. a pair of cb antenna whips also, even if you dont have a cb radio. then some redneck bumper stickers. or make your own..... "mud in the blood, rocks in the head" or "loud pipes save lives" . the hicks around here dont have lifts, they just have really wide tires that stick out like 3 inches. and if you want to go the extra mile, get some of those fake bullet holes and put them on there. Then send me a pic of your truck once your all done "hickin it out" so i can make the hicks here jealous.

Oh man you beat me to it I was gonna say camo paint as well. haha.
IF you actually want to use it functionally (off road) you might put the flares on as you mentioend and cover the entire truck in herculiner bedliner or something similar. later

When done with the steel and camo paint, don't forget the dust and mud!
You need to have a stockplie of dirt to apply liberaly to the truck after the rain washs' it off, windows with cracks are necessary too!
Buy mud guards. put one on the left rear and one on the right front. use the other two as spares in case you lose one.

for your fender flares, dont actually go and buy real ones. go to your local hardware store and get that plastic stuff rich folks use to seperate their gardens from the lawn.
i have an 88 chevy blazer i painted up camo a few weeks ago. a few tips on painting. do not under any circumstances use masking tape, thats why God invented the roll down window. dont wash it before you paint either. the closest my truck got to washing was i brushed off the leaves with a broom.
