I have bent that pipe on one if my trucks before when I was getting the hang of doing my own work. 14.5 years ago when I got married at 21 years old I didnt even know how to change my own oil….so you are waayyy ahead if me.
I think you would be ok with just buying a longer boot for now. That is the cheapest option that will work.
I have used these boots and they are very good quality. I am not sure if it is ling enough for what you need though, I can measure it

Both the 3 inch 4ply straight coupler I was looking at and the one you just linked don't have that dimple. Is it really that helpful in holding? Or is it mostly for helping line everything up?
The RiffRaff y-pipe boot has that ridge on the inside to engage the groove on the CAC pipe also. It won’t help in your case because the end of the CAC pipe where the groove is is all conical and squishy now.

Oh it definitely helps to hold the pipe in when the part with the groove isn’t squishy.

I remember talking to clay about this years ago and he said he didn't think the dimple was any better but people kept requesting it so they put them in. I guess it's just a preference
Another idea for the herky IC pipe; if you have a bench vise open it up until the external shoulders fit inside the pipe. Move the pipe up and down so the vise runs inside the pipe to push out the bumps. Might be able to round it back into shape. Some grease or oil will help.

It's funny. I have that exact vice. Don't know about that one but mine is from China though. It was free because it was messed up and I fixed it.....
That's a good idea but even rounding it back off isn't going to help anything I don't think. It's too soft now.
The boot I posted the link to is 4”, same as Riffraff boots, so about 1” longer then oem

I decided I'm going to wait a little bit. Maybe something will come up this coming week and I'll be able to buy a new tube. With the new tube my current boots should work fine until I can get some new ones. Then it will all be proper instead of a bandaid fix. Thank you for your help everybody!

Just buy the $20 boot. Most economical way to a solution. As you said, your current boot is toast anyhow. The $170 set of boots wouldn’t fix your issue anyhow without a new pipe.
Guys, this is what I was talking about earlier. Tristan needs an effective but cost friendly solution. I certainly remember buying parts while being 18. I truly feel this is an area he can save some coin with no problem. If it doesn’t work then he can use it to make plenum boots.

Seriously. I’ve made 34psi without a bumped boot. It’s not needed. Mine holds firm.
Took a trip to the garage and attic for some photos. My current no-bump boot is an inch longer than OEM. Tristan, I would probably go just a tad more in your case. It will position your clamp on an undeformed area of the pipe.

My original plan was that those boots would be my end all solution at least for a good while. I didn't think the bumped boots were necessary and I figured I could get some of those four ply boots a little longer and that would be my new boots for good and I would never have to worry about it again. I figured it would hold just fine and I wouldn't need a new pipe. Well you just wrote confirms that the non-bumped boot will hold my 20 plus PSI no problem. I've got some thinking to do. If I buy new riff Raff boots and a new tube I'm going to be in it for $240. I could buy two of those longer boots for $35 to $40 and just go ahead and replace both of my upper boots with that and have enough left over to do my plenum boots. Then all I would need would be the boots going to the intercooler which from riff Raff for just those is about 30 bucks. I would have all new boots for less than a hundred bucks. I know I sound like a recording at this point for saying that so many times but work has been so slow since October and I have been living off of 200 to $300 paychecks since then. That's a week anyway. $300 a week does not amount to much. Work has just been so slow. I've been doing work on the side a lot trying to make up for it but even still I don't have enough work. That's not saying I'm not busy it's just I'm not making as much money as I'd like right now. You said your non-bumped boot can hold 34 PSI with no problems. I will consider it overnight but I think that's enough for me to buy those instead and save 160 bucks. I will definitely weigh the options in for my current budget. Thank you for posting these pictures and thank you for your knowledge. That goes for everybody else as well, thank you all. I will figure out what is best for my uses hopefully by tommorow!

I may end up being a cheap weirdo myself! (Please Don't take that as me saying you are one I'm just being funny, or trying to at least)
My plan was not to just fix the passenger side pipe but to also do the exact same on the driver side so they would be symmetrical. And I would also be fixing both of my old boots at the same time. So I will need 2 pieces. I figured if I got two 8-in ones and cut them both at 5 in for the spider to intercooler pipe I would have 3 inches left from each of them to do the plenums with. I will measure my plenum boots but I'm certain they can't be much longer than 3 in. I don't think they're that long. I'm not sure though. But, assuming they are 3 in, two 8-in pieces of hose will do the trick perfectly I think. Won't know till I try! I will try to grab a measurement tomorrow before I leave for work first thing in the morning. If I do decide to go the longer boots I think I'm also going to go ahead and put Blue on because that's going to be my whole theme anyway. Red and blue. Might as well start there. I think this is the one that I'm going to get since, earlier Eric said the boots he got were high quality and this is the same brand.
