I am very curious to see how it does on Todd's application. I would think it will be a great cross sectional view of its characteristics.

I am not sold he will need more fuel. I guess I'm too optimistic given I feel like we dont know enough yet

My brother has been running a s369sxe with 180cc injectors for quite some time. I’ve pulled a trailer with it a few times and in my opinion it spoils quite well. I currently plan to run same turbo with 250/100 in the near future unless I change my mind or someone makes better suggestion. Which I am open to.

It would be nice if someone here was already running a 369. The faster spool would be nice on my truck because it's a manual. It would also suck if it's to small for hybrids.

I can't help you except to say that when I blew up my motor and the chuck of metal from the piston went thru my s366 I replaced it with the s366sxe turbo. It will spool up twice as fast, I'm very happy with it. With your injectors I would not know but my gut tells me that the 369sxe would do fine but what do I know? Good luck with your decision.

Thank you for the good luck Glenn. Didn't really think it was going to be a hard decision, but it has turned that way. My gut is saying 369sxe as well.

MJ, I can’t speak to the turbo decision, would be interested to see whatever you end up going with. But I must say, if you go with the Carson Stauffer T4 kit I would be interested in getting your impressions. Looks like it is very popular on the Super Duty forum, whereas here I think I’ve only seen folks use the Irate kit, or build their own, for our OBS trucks. I’ve looked a bit at CSD’s T4 kit and like they way they use both factory supply and return lines routed through their pedestal for the turbo. I think they do a couple other things different also, such as an aluminum intake pipe going into the plenums. Would be interested in seeing a CSD T4 on OBS story. Good luck with the rest of your project.

Unless someone steers me in a different direction, I will hopefully place the order in a couple of weeks. The feed and return is a big selling point, and I heard the down pipe fits better. We'll see I guess lol.

I just saw a dyno sheet from one of my FB friends that runs an S369 with 250/200s through a ZF5. 533hp/908tq and he says it pulls a trailer really well. So I'd say give it a shot.

Thank you for the heads up on that. Nice to hear that it tows pretty good. Anything on the Carson vs Irate kit? I don't have the time nor enough tools to build a kit myself.

I have an Irate kit on my Super Duty and a Carson Stauffer kit on my OBS. I don't have anything against either kit honestly. They're both nice, well built kits and I wouldn't hesitate to use either one for an S300 frame turbo. For an S400 frame, I prefer Carson's. I have enough clearance with high rise plenums to clear the S400 compressor cover easily. Irate seems to need flat plenums to clear an S400 compressor cover.

On edit. My OBS has custom aluminum intercooler piping, so I have no insight on how well Carson's IC piping may fit, but I would bet they fit alright.

Thank you very much for your input and advice. My truck has a CX racing intercooler that came with it. Not sure how that will line up. Trying to get ahold of Carson today. Only questions at this point is what size ar and if it comes with a intake boot or not. Should have the order placed in a day or two. What plenums are you running on your obs?
