Got the headstuds done on the driver's side. Had to rock it to get the two rear most studs in. Had to move the power steering pump for the very front one.
Your thread is a really good one, but didn't remember seeing much on the micrometer.
I probably purchased whatever the other chaps recommend. Using the mic is the only way to do the springs as far as I am concerned. My truck revs SO much better it is not funny. Definitely takes a bit of math to have the springs at the correct installed height...No8 was a real *****.

Lol yeah I'm dreading number 8 as well. Probably number 7 also.
Yes, the old Jasper has 16K or so on it and its running good. Its just sitting around this year though, I feel bad so I go for a ride once in awhile. Pretty funny!

It will be nice when things get back to normal. The truck is getting a nice break though lol.
Good deal, I am curious how you will feel the difference in RPM capacity.
Im pretty curious as well. Just put in 238/100 injectors a couple weeks ago, and while detuned it made a huge difference. Pretty happy every cylinder took .045 of shims.

What did your installed height end up at with the seal installed? Assuming you're doing Comp 910s? I like 1.750" for 910s, but up to 1.780 is fine for most below 55psi boost/drive pressure. You shouldn't notice much from the springs aside from it wont bend pushrods or break rockers everytime you try to play around with it if they're set up correctly.

1.800 with out the seal. The micrometer didn't fit over the seal. Yes it was Comp 910s. If my math is right that equals 1.75 with the seal hopefully.
