Sweet!! I'm stoked that egt was good. You just can't deny how well getting rid of that stock charger is.
Rock on!

Yeah there is a night and day difference. I touched 1350 with out towing with the stock turbo. Most of the trip it was 950 yesterday. It's crazy it was way louder with the stocker also. More powa and less heat. You can't beat that.
I'm glad its working out for you! Controlling EGT's is the hardest thing to accomplish on this trucks! Looks like a nice place to visit and get your sanity back.

All was well till this afternoon. The Walbro gsl392 chit the bed. Looks like my stay has been extended lol.
Oh no, that's not good! They are suppose to be good ones. I put mine on so long ago and can't remember what pump I have. I have two spares and I don't know what they are either, lol. Getting to old I guess.
Sorry for your luck, the Walbro seems to die at the worst times. I changed to the Bosch and was surprised how much quieter it was and I can get one at any parts store. Good luck on getting a new one

Managed to get my spare and it was no good as well. Just ordered one from Amazon. It was great till it wasn't lol.

How hard was the switch? I think I would have to change some parts on my fuel system. Right now not much of a possibility unfortunately.
I know this is going to sound stupid but check the power to the pump. I thought my pump was bad and changed pumps ,no work. I did not check basics. Fixed wire and all was well. I did a lot of work for a simple fix.

Unfortunately the power is good. I did do that once before though.
My fuel system is a DIY setup so “results may vary” but my change was pretty simple from what I remember. Here are the changes I made
1. The Walbro used an isolator sleeve but the Bosch didn’t have one. Luckily they were about the same size so I just used the Walbro sleeve on the Bosch.
2. The Walbro had two threaded ports but the Bosch had a barbed style port on the inlet for push lock fittings and a thread port for the outlet. I am using barbed fittings, so I just slide the inlet hose over the barb and clamped it. By dumb luck the outlet of both pumps were the same thread so I just swapped fitting from the Walbro to the Bosch.
3. I used ring terminals for the electrical connections. I think the positive and negative terminals “may” have been on opposite sides, but I am not certain. It was easy since I don’t use any special connectors or anything. If you use a special connector or clip you may have to sort that out.
It was easier than I thought it would be. Mine also crapped out while I had a trailer in tow. I first thought I had a plugged filter as it would run but would starve when under a load. I made it home but I was being very gentle with it. Good luck on getting it fixed. If you need any pics just let me know and I can try to grab some for you
I'm honestly surprised. The only issue I ever had was it blew the fuse one time long ago.
I think a new spare for the tool box may happen someday just in case.
For now I'll probably just order another Walbro. Just need to keep it and the tools in the truck to change it out. I haven't dropped the tanks, so there could be something in there causing the problem. Tempted to do a 38 gallon in the rear and get rid of the selector and midship tank.
