Adding overhead storage was the first thing I did when I bough the city crash pad.
Oops. There’s the little traeger that I mentioned in the other thread.😂
Anyone got any ideas of what I can’t do with those winter tires and undersized spare? Too heavy to lift up to the overhead storage and I don’t want to lug them back downstairs to the storage room. Carpeted stairs and dirty tires don’t mix. 🤦♂️
Put the tires on the wall, Teddy. Google "wall mount tire racks" or there are some portable ones on wheels. I agree though, they need to be off the floor and out of the way.
Matt, you have one hell of a set up there. I volunteer Matt to hold the semi annual FTE meet and greet. 😂😂😂😂
Thanks! & yeah! Whomever wants to meet in Ky. I'm game! Scag is probably the closest one to me.
Anyone spot the little ladder ladder first pic? Like the one we talked about last night. Handy thing it is!
Gotta get to work! Early shift tonight since tomorrow is a Holiday. I'll check in when I can. Scag should be rollin in, in a big dust cloud of grass clippings soon!
FAIL. I tried to use the 100lb rated wall mounts I already had. (The orange thing the ladder is hanging on). I got them all secured using new 3” 13mm lag bolts (3 per mount) and just as I hung up the last tire, the bottom mount snapped and the tire fell. Luckily it was only about 12” (inches - I got it right this time)👍. I’m not even going to bother with a tire rack system. If something fails when I am gone, it’s going to do some good damage to the wife’s car. I’ll have to mount the rack at least 6’ (feet )👍 off the ground.
I’m sure new ones would hold but eventually, they are going to wear and snap. Whoever said aluminum is just as strong as steel lied 😉 (just a joke. Calm down) 😉
