I haven't managed to talk myself into going outside yet, nothing I need out there though. Looks cold and wet and miserable out the window.

It is cold, wet and miserable out there. Seems to be starting to get over up here. Just checked the rain cage....2.4 inches since last night. It is doing some flooding also.

Looks like they shut the schools down until after spring break. Seems like the whole country has lost it's mind.

Not yet. It's on the list though. I got around to reading Fahrenheit 451 last year and that one was terrifying in how closely it related to current events. I assume 1984 is the same way. I may have read it in highschool, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

I think I'm going to have to turn the internet off for awhile, maybe avoid people for a few days. I just found a petition that was urging the governor to close the schools. People asked for it. Whole world is going on lockdown and the masses approve? This is pretty scary stuff.

People are scared. The main stream media hasn't helped. Fake news on the internet hasn't helped. They either forgot or never learned the adage "Keep calm and return fire". Next Sunday Sherrie and I are supposed to do our once a month trip into town. Will they have our shopping list is a good question. If you need to back off and turn off the computer, do it. I for one will understand.

I did shut it down, went out and fooled with my choke and upset the truck more than I thought possible. She got so mad she spit fuel in my face. Now that I've got something else to fix I feel better. I saw a post on facebook the other day. Try as I might I can't stay off of that. I know better, all it does it get my blood pressure up. Anyway, here's that post.
"What if we’ve all had the corona virus back in nov/Jan? Most of you will say I’m dumb and crazy. However, I remember my family and a lot of you being sick for 2-4 weeks with unknown strain of flu with the same symptoms as covid-19. Now that a team of doctors have been able to identify/diagnose what it is and name it suddenly it’s a big deal. NEWS FLASH!!!! Half of you idiots already had it and got over it!!"

That's a fun thought, but I'm wondering if it isn't just the flu. I feel like all this is going to go away when it warms up for good. I'm just worried they'll roll out a vaccine or a covid-19 shot either before then, or for next year. Whole country will be lined up in the streets getting their mystery medicine. Even better, how about a vaccine shortage? I'm too lazy to look into who is profiting from all this, or who is next in line too. I doubt Charmin and Purell are behind this. Being paranoid like I am, I just waiting for them to unwrap the gun bans.
