I made the truck go around the block today, very thrilling. Got all the parts to replace the front brakes and wheel bearings, but there apparently isn't a pair of calipers in a hundred miles. Have to go pick those up in the morning. Need to get out after supper and measure for vacuum lines as I still have a leak somewhere. Looking like the line to the trans. Or that's one of the leaks. It'll be nice to have new lines, plan to route them around the engine bay instead of across it. I had a limited selection on hand, so I mostly made due and it's almost ok.
Getting ready for a parts run. Hopefully by end of day I'll have new front brakes/wheel bearings, all new vacuum lines run and the interior put in.
Took some pictures of what's left of my donor truck if anyone needs any of it. There's a little bit more than what's shown, but I have to get rid of the big stuff soon. Frame and cab. No title. If you can use it you can have it. May keep the rear end, haven't decided yet. When I stop for lunch today I'll try and get a buy/sell/trade thread going for everyone to use.
I got the new calipers and pads on, didn't do the rotor/hub assembly yet because I forgot to get the rear hub seals. But, got it all together and bled the brakes and... well, there's some, right at the very end, but just a little. Will bleed again. Might need another big bottle. Pumped two out on the ground already.
It's an 85 f150. I'll get pictures posted in the buy sell trade thread tomorrow. I have most of a truck between it and mine. I used the body from the 85 on my 82 and a lot of the harness. Not sure the parts from mine are worth much.

Rezvani's Latest Post-Apocalyptic Monster Is a Ford F-150 Raptor Underneath
Good morn... afternoon! I'm finally going to drive my truck around a little. I think I have enough brakes to do so if I'm careful. After I take her for a spin I'm going to back her in so I can look at the rear drums and see what shape everything is in. I'm hoping I'll get the rest of my brakes by adjusting the rear.
BTW. I have a set of front disk brakes for a 3/4 ton. They can be used to convert an older twin I beam 3/4 ton from drums to disks. I have all the parts to do the swap.
This probably needs to be in the marketplace, but it's in Arkansas, so that's going for it...
I had a good day in the shop yesterday. Last weekend I went to the salvage yard for accessoriy pulleys and brackets for a v-belt setup. I’m installing a 5.8 EFI in my 83 F150 4x4. It had a 300-6. Removing two rivers to install the drivers side engine perch was a real pain. I ground the heads off but they wouldn’t budge. I wound up torching them.
i mounted the freshly painted brackets and pulleys on the engine stand. I cut a boss off of the old smog pump and turned it on my lathe to make a alternator spacer and power steering spacer. I didn’t like the big ugly cast alternator spacer with smog pump saddle.
i hope to install the 351 next weekend.
