I'm going to wager that this thing is just getting started.. When people drop their guard and go back to their normal lives too early, its going to get bad.

There are three nursing homes here in Arkansas that have been infected and i fear that will end up like it did in Washington.

Whats even more concerning is whats happening is places like Italy, where death rate is approaching 10%

Some of the factory workers (Peco) here in Pocahontas have those cards. They have set up most of the ARDOT crews to 50%. I am considered essential, so i have to show up.

May just be the paranoia, but I don't like that at all. More of a dangerous freedom kind of guy.

I have to agree with you guys. I had about 3 days advance notice of what was going to happen up KC. The only thing is it didn't shut down the entire KC area.

As far as I can tell the only thing that makes this worse than the flu is the induced panic and executive orders being issues.

On vacation today, have some i have to use by end March. Did finally get the c4 in the 66 pickup. It has fought me. Son ordered long tube headers for his 93 f150 4x4. Hoping we can run duals like some of the pulling trucks, long tubes with pipes below frame back to axle. He kinda likes that look. I know that the gas tank interfers with inside of frame on drivers side.

Been lazy, tinkered on the truck some, got more I need to do. Homeschooling for the next month or so. Mostly studying recess though.

I initially thought that way too, but it all comes down to percentages.. take this article from early March:
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...-18000-deaths/

If 32M were infected with influenza but 18,000 died, thats a .056% fatality rate.. Covid-19 has had a death rate in the US of 1.29% as of this moment.

So infect those same 32M and you're talking about 412,800 people.

How does that compare to the infection rate? There is a huge disparity between the number of deaths between the two viruses for the same span of time. With flu deaths being significantly higher. CDC estimates between 20-40,000 influenza deaths in the us so far this year. Covid numbers are nowhere near that high. I think the last I saw was 500. I know this virus has a lot of potential. But no one is kicking up a fuss about 40,000 dead from the flu in the same span. Not even talking about the flu. But mass panic and government controls from day one of the corona virus outbreak. Then claiming it'll peak in a month or so. I have a feeling this will all disappear as soon as it warms up. Same as the flu does.

I'm not sure about the transmission rate, but I have heard that it is many times higher than that of the flu. Not to mention is has been shown to survive on surfaces for up to 17 days.

The death rate in the US will go up significantly as many of those currently infected have just become infected within the last few days.

Arkansas has seen it's first two fatalities as of today, one was elderly, but the other was supposedly in their 50's.
